Had a great stay here after flying into London from abroad. We only were staying a couple of nights before heading out from paddington so this hotel was great! We traveled with our 2 yo and got a family room which had a spacious double bed and a twin set up and it worked for our family perfectly. Staff were absolutely fantastic and honestly made us want to stay here again!

Nice location in Paddington area. Staff was wonderful. Restraunts on site ask about private bar area, very nice to enjoy a beer or wine. Very close to transportation. Only reason for 4 was because it can take a bit to get to and from popular tourist spots but still quite doable. Our room was very nice single king. Would stay here again.

Had last minute weekend away with my husband, the staff were extremely nice and welcoming. When you first enter the hotel, it's bright and has artistic features in the lobby. The hotel was very clean which was good too see. The lighting was bright, so it automatically makes you feel welcomed. However, the rooms are quite small but I understand that as it's central London, I suppose that can be expected. The elevators were super small and slow, which was a nuisance. The location was very central to most transportation services, also easy to get an uber or black cab if needed. Which is very helpful in central London. The room, the bed was OK. It wasn't the most comfortable bed that I've slept in, but also wasn't a bad sleep. The room has most hotel essentials and the shower was good power. Only issue, the rooms are not sound proof and for some reason if you're in the bathroom too long, an alarm will go off. That didn't make sense at all. The room didn't give complimentary water, yet gave complimentary champagne which was strange (we don't drink) so we didn't appreciate that. We paid for breakfast, it was very underwhelming to say the least, you order of the menu and its not apparent if it's open buffet that you can order whatever you want or just one item. No one explains this to you. Overall, we would stay again because the main reception staff and the location was excellent. But, we wouldn't pay for the breakfast and probably just use the stairs next time. Overall scoring 7/10

I stayed at the Mercure Hyde Park London from 3 August to 9 August 2024, and overall, it was a very good experience. The staff were incredibly nice, helpful, and welcoming, which made our stay feel comfortable from the start. The hotel was very clean, with housekeeping taking care of the rooms every day. The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore London and the nearby attractions. However, the one downside for us was the size of the rooms. For a family traveling with a lot of luggage, the space felt a bit cramped. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly atmosphere and cleanliness of the hotel.

I picked the hotel for its proximity to Paddington. Even though it was close to such a busy hub, it was quiet and calm in the vicinity and inside the hotel. The front desk staff were always efficient and warm. I found the massive pile of trash bags that confronted us by the main entrance each morning to be malodorous and off-putting. Our bed seemed really small for a king-size.
