Hawksmoor Borough is conveniently situated just a short stroll from London Bridge and is located on the edge of one of the finest produce markets in the country. This unique restaurant is housed within a former hops warehouse that was originally repurposed by J. O. Sims, merchants of 'colonial and foreign fruit,' in 1932, transforming it into a fruit warehouse and auction hall.

For an exceptional private dining experience in London, venture downstairs at Borough, where you'll find the Cooks' Room. It's renowned as one of the city's premier private dining spaces. Featuring its own private kitchen, this room offers a truly immersive dining experience, with chefs preparing your meal right in front of you and your guests. The private dining room can be reserved for groups of up to 20 people (+4 at the kitchen counter - first row seat to see the chef in action!).

The Hop House is a tucked away area, adjacent to our main restaurant floor (and very usefully right next to the bar!). This fully curtained-off area* is bigger and brighter than our basement Cooks’ Room, it provides privacy while still experiencing a muted buzz from our dining room.

The Hope House area can accommodate up to 24 guests seated.

There is a mobile screen perfect for presentations.

This branch is located by Borough market so very busy. We booked for Sunday roast but ended up ordering steak from the feasting menu with roast trimmings. It’s a great place for quality steaks. The Chateaubriand and Porterhouse steaks were absolutely lovely and cooked to perfection. Desserts were just as delicious, l think more custard should be served with the apple pie. Staff were very accommodating and made sure we had space for the baby pram. Nice to know staff knew something about wine. It was a lovely meal and my group thoroughly enjoyed it.

Good heavens, this place is amazing! The Irish Coffee was proportionate and heart warming, the steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. And the dish of the year was the Sticky Toffee Pudding which was generously doused in delicious toffee sauce at just the most perfect temperature - just a few degrees below uncomfortable but enough to make the flavours explode. This has joined my must-go London restaurants list as a business traveller.

The place is fine, we went for the Sunday Roast and actually left a lot to be desired. I understand its a chain but to be honest, I expected more. The desserts were great especially the sticky toffee pudding. The service wasn’t great not great, kept interrupting us and speeding things up and at one point the waiter touched my back in an uncomfortable way to get my attention. Maybe go for a good steak but would not go there for a Sunday roast and even less to catch up with friends as it was not pleasant…
