January 2025Definitely worth coming here when you feel like doing something a bit extra. We came for the "window table experience" with a set menu and it was really worth it. We got a corner table and the views were really cool. The food was all tasty, especially the deep fried lobster and the duck pancakes. Even the glass of unspecified bubbles was good.

March 2025My partner took me to Hutong for my birthday. We had an early booking at 12.30, which was pretty empty on a Monday, but that suited us because we got a window table. We both had the set vegan/vegetarian menu, which is £75 per person. It sounds pricey, but it was excellent. There was a tofu dish that didn't sound appealing, and they agreed to swap it for the aubergine tempura, which would have been my choice. It was very filling. The dessert was a chocolate tart; it was good but had no Northern Chinese touch, which would have been nice. It's an excellent choice for celebration meals.

March 2025This was our second time here. Previously we went for lunch a couple of years ago and the food was great. This time, however, the dinner experience was a bit different. The overall ambience was too dark and as the sun faded out of prominence, we could see people having to use their phone flashlights to read the menu - so did we ! But - while it was too dark to read the menu, it was bright enough to make it pleasant overall I think. The food was really good but for the price, you’d expect it to be outstanding. Make no mistake, the food wasn’t bad, it just didn’t blow us away! The service, however, was exceptional! Francesco, our server, was amazing and ever present. There were other members of the staff who kept checking in every so often. Overall, I’d give 6 stars if I could for the service.

February 2025Came here for a birthday meal. We were told to wait in the bar area for quite some time considering there were a lot of free tables when we arrived, which was not ideal. Service was very good and attentive- the server even provided what they think are good dishes and they were right. Views are obviously amazing but the darkness of the restaurant is a bit too much. We got the wonton, vegetable spring rolls and dim sum platter- all were amazing. We got the beef rib next which was a bit dry and lacked a sauce. Deep fried crab was really nice though. Egg fried rice also very good. Mocktail also good. Price point is high but we were full when we left.
