Middle Eight feels classy and like a true 5 star hotel, at great value too. The classic room was very modern and quite large in size by London hotel standards too. The tv with chromecast & the pod machine with fresh milk were appreciated. The area is absolutely amazing, walking distance to theatres, restaurants, bars/cafes, & attractions. Worth noting however that there is no view from the room.

The hotel reception is immaculate and stunning. Welcome team are very professional and we were offered drinks while we checked in. We were early, arriving at 1.30 and hoping to store luggage-we were surprised and pleased that our room was ready so could get settled in before going exploring. The room was faultless-so clean and fresh smelling. There was a feeling of luxury about the fixtures and fittings. Lovely to have robes and slippers too. We were left a little plate of macaroons which we enjoyed later. Beautiful, clean and functional bathroom with a selection of toiletries to use. So peaceful, and a really comfortable bed made for a restful night. WouId 100% recommend this place which is close to Covent Garden and the theatres.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by staff with a glass of prosecco. The Classic Room was small but just enough room for two people. One of the best parts of our stay was the comfortable bed!! We also loved the location of the hotel. Plenty of pubs and restaurants to walk to. The nearest tube station was also a quick walk away. The streets outside and hallways were very quiet. Overall, we found this hotel to be the perfect place to relax and get a good nights sleep after exploring the city all day.

Very good location for Covent Garden and the West End. Staff are super friendly and helpful. We appreciated being able to check in early when we were expecting to just drop out bags. The room was comfortable but very cold - the AC had been set to 16 degrees prior to us arriving. Room lighting and temperature controls are fancy touch panels that seem overly complicated. There are cocktail glasses and a cocktail shaker in the room but are pointless as the mini bar doesn't have any booze in it. There were a couple of pieces of fresh carrot cake under a glass dome which we thought was a really nice touch and looked good but sadly we're not good. Good do with adding a bit of substance to the style but overall a very pleasant stay.

I recently stayed at the Middle Eight Hotel, a five-star establishment in Covent Garden, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. I arrived at 9:30 p.m. to find no doorman present, which meant I had to handle my own luggage. This was a surprising inconvenience for a hotel of this caliber. Additionally, the absence of room service and the inability to turn off the room’s AC were unexpected drawbacks. My first night was particularly uncomfortable due to the room being too warm, despite attempts to lower the temperature. While the issue was eventually resolved, it required several calls to reception. The room itself had some maintenance issues, such as an old-feeling carpet and a lack of professional cleaning by housekeeping. On the bright side, the hotel’s location is fantastic, offering easy access to the vibrant Covent Garden area, Holborn metro station near by. The breakfast served at the on-site restaurant was delightful, and I must commend the staff for their friendliness and professionalism. In particular, Connie at reception went above and beyond to assist me with extending my stay, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience. Overall, while Middle Eight Hotel has its perks, such as the prime location in Covent Garden and friendly staff, certain aspects of the stay fell short of the five-star expectations. The lack of attention to detail in service and room comfort diminished the overall experience. For travelers prioritizing location and design, it may still be a good option, but improvements in amenities and upkeep are needed for it to truly live up to its luxury label.
