The Horniman Museum and Gardens is a unique and beautiful location in London set in over 16 acres of gardens with breath taking views across the London skyline. There are a varied mix of historic galleries and modern rooms as well as a Victorian Conservatory, Edwardian Bandstand and modern Pavilion that can all be used for an array of events including meetings, receptions, product launches, PR events and film and still shoots.
The modern and quirky Pavilion building is perfect for a wide range of events including birthday/Christmas/summer parties, corporate away days, receptions and film and still shoots. There are floor to ceiling windows which open out onto a private terrace giving you breath taking views across the rest of the gardens and the London skyline. The building comes with AV equipment, private bathroom and cloakroom facilities. This space is perfect as a blank canvas to create your unique and special event.

October 2024Very nice place for visit, they had very nice collections of local heritage and musical instruments. It is fee and you can expect student during weekdays. Aquarium and butterfly house is paid. Very nice ground for walking, flower garden is not maintained properly at this moment, may be will be it will be beautiful during spring time.

October 2024It's a lovely space to enjoy time with family. The exhibition space is quite small and cozy, so expect to take your time navigating through the crowd, but the space is lovely, well arranged, interesting and fun. There are some renovations happening so part of the exhibition is closed until 2026. It's still very much worth the visit. There is a Sunday market happening each week with some great local sellers and artists. The little zoo is also a lovely addition.

November 2024Such a lovely museum, where to start? The staff are so friendly and helpful, the cafe food is tasty and queues aren't too long, the exhibitions are interesting and fun. The butterfly house is by far the best place in the museum and so wonderful. We had such a good day and will definitely be coming back again soon!

September 2024A place where we have been often when the kids were small and we had lots of fun. Revisited this weekend and it’s still a beautiful place even though it’s not all open because of refurbishment in the main area, but still lots of things to see: music room, pop-up room, adolescent wonderland, aquarium (we paid to see it), garden, little farm, playground, coffee shop. This place has something for everyone. Nice, helpful staff. Highly recommended. Garden is beautiful and clean.

October 2024We visited to see the dinosaur exhibit, which was small but very good. There were quite a few distressed children who I'm guessing didn't expect the size/noise/movement of some of the models. The artwork in the exhibit was incredible. We also visited the other galleries and the aquarium, all of which were informative and good. If the weather had been better we would've looked at the gardens too, we'll do that next time.
