January 2025I enjoyed staying at the Good Hotel in London's Docklands. I was allocated room 266, which was compact, quiet and comfortable. It had good views. However, I thought that the bathroom, containing a toilet and shower, was too compact and the shelving above the toilet seemed illogically and poorly placed. That said the hotel still made a very good impression. The buffet breakfast set me up for the day and the staff were welcoming and helpful. This hotel channels funds into a social enterprise in central America, hence its name.

March 2025I enjoyed a wonderful experience at the Good Hotel, where the service was exceptional and the staff were remarkably friendly. The location is superb, situated right next to the IFS cable car and just a 12-minute walk from the Custom House station. However, the only drawback was the room, which was quite small and lacked soundproofing.

April 2025I have very very mixed feelings about this hotel. It was clean. The bed is super soft and comfortable. The location is great. In terms of staff I wasn’t sure what to think. Once they’re great, other time they keep giving me super weird looks. The downstairs bar staff barely knew their own products. I was first booked into a standard room, which is an absolute joke and the size of a shoe box. Then I upgraded to their best room, which was a very very pricey upgrade. Even though I could actually move and turn around in the big room, it was still a disaster. - no fridge - every time you open the room door it sounds an alarm - no TV - the settings on my AC kept changing - no luggage holders - no wardrobe - nonexistent sound insulation: one night someone came to a neighbouring room late, their door alarm woke me and I could literally hear footsteps next door. I almost had a heart attack thinking someone was in my room! - planes constantly flying over the hotel room, with no sound insulation it’s truly a mental torture especially if you try to sleep early The services in the hotel were a joke. No bottled water provided, the hotel book tells you to drink tap water!?!!??! No laundry bags or forms provided in the room, you must go ask for it at the reception, then go back to your room and then you’re told to bring the laundry back to the reception - the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. When you go and ask them to collect the laundry from your room they look at you as if you ran away from mental hospital. I’ve got a food poisoning one of the days and the only places I’ve eaten in was the hotel and a Gordon Ramsey restaurant in the last two days. I have no proof where I got it, but I can guess. Definitely not suitable for business travel. I’ll avoid this hotel next time. It’s great that they donate a portion of profits to charities, but hey! Focus on your guests comfort first.. Super expensive for what it is.

March 2025In what reality does this qualify as a 4-star hotel? I guess it's preferable to accommodations in the Tower of London. Maybe they do some good things for charity like they say they do, but I can only speak to the experience. If you are going to the convention center, the location isn't bad, other than that there's not really any redeeming qualities. After my conference I stayed at a real 4-star hotel in a more desirable part of the city for essentially the same price. It was a MUCH bigger/nicer room, included breakfast, and blew this one out of the water. The room is basically like a shoebox with very little room. There's no TV(never heard of such a thing!), no phone, not even a clock. The duvet on the bed had a stain on it(gross), and the bathroom wasn't quite as thoroughly clean as you would hope for. I cannot recommend anyone else book this hotel. There's other options in the area, and you'd be better off with most of them in all likelihood.
