With prominent signs outside they were offering cocktails for £5.95 but once inside they said these are only available if you buy food as well. After we sat down to choose our cocktails we were then told vodka and tequila was not available for the ones we wanted. When I asked about the various other vodka bottles on their shelf the waitress said I can have one of them in my cocktail if I pay extra because they were different brands ( how much extra would it cost them to take a measure from another brand ? - probably less than 50p). My wife decided to have a traditional Indian soft drink instead. So they made the pornstar martini with bacardi instead and it was made & served like a squash - nothing like a cocktail both in appearance and taste. No passion fruit. It had been prepared by putting all ingredients together and whizzed up with a blender until the ice had dissolved then poured into a glass - it was like one of those cocktails in a can from a supermarket. Clearly no clue on how to prepare a proper cocktail. I should have rejected it but it had been a long hot day for us. Only staffed by a few 20'ish year old youngsters speaking continuously in their native language amongst themselves, which was more audible than the few other diners in the cafe having their own conversations. The spring rolls we ordered were nothing special. If you want a proper cocktail go to a bar where somebody has had proper training and experience - there are several options within 200 metres of Cafe Mumbai.
