November 2024Unfortunately this place has really gone downhill since the previous staff left. It used to be a great little gallery when Javier was in charge. Now it's turned into a makeshift bar in the midst of lots of expensive photos. No idea what 'genius' thought of this ridiculous idea to have a bar in the main exhibition space. The gallery is small enough as it is and it has made the space even tighter and congested. Not everyone wants to drink when visiting a photography gallery. Most people want to just view the exhibitions. It ruins the experience of a visitor. People leaning against the photos, sticky surfaces from used glasses, less than courteous staff who look disinterested and bored makes this a very unpleasant experience for any attendee. Unwelcomimg atmosphere. Even the toilets downstairs are unreliable. The entire gallery looks tired and is in need of serious refurbishment. Very disappointing to see this once great gallery go this way. Such a shame.
