Colonel Saab, now open in Trafalgar Square, adds a new chapter to London's culinary diversity following our successful flagship in Holborn. We are delighted to share our passion for blending traditional Indian flavours with contemporary culinary approaches. Our menu, crafted with care, features aromatic signature plates and innovative starters, each dish reflecting our dedication to culinary excellence.
The ambiance of our Trafalgar Square location is inspired by the Choudhary family's journeys across the Indian subcontinent. Restaurateur Roop Partap Choudhary has infused the restaurant with elements reflective of both his family's heritage and the rich traditions of Indian cuisine. Guests can enjoy the elegant bar, a cosy lounge area, and a dining room adorned with beautiful Firozabad chandeliers, alongside a mezzanine level and two private dining rooms. At Colonel Saab, we strive to offer a welcoming atmosphere that complements our menu, inviting guests to enjoy a taste of India's culinary and artistic heritage in the heart of London.
The Jaipur area, with its semi-private setting, is ideal for smaller gatherings, offering a cozy ambiance for private dining, team meetings, or small birthday parties. This space combines the exclusivity of private dining with the lively atmosphere of Colonel Saab, ensuring a unique and memorable experience for any group event.

I can’t believe I overlooked Colonial Saab Indian Restaurant in London for so long. I finally had the chance to dine here and was thoroughly impressed. The menu, though concise, is packed with delectable options. The eggplant and spinach dishes were particularly flavorful, and the simple dal was the perfect complement to the meal. While the vegetarian options are somewhat limited, there’s still enough variety for a satisfying dinner. The snacks were decent, but the main courses are where this restaurant truly shines. I highly recommend it for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine.

We headed here after a show at the London Coliseum and were lucky enough to get a table without reservations. The menu is not huge like a local Indian takeaway but there is still plenty of variety. The food was absolutely amazing, we had butter chicken and the chicken curry along with some sides. The chicken curry was unlike any curry we have had before, it was much lighter in colour than you would expect and very creamy. The decor was dark and warm with an excellent atmosphere. The staff were amazing and happy to provide recommendations and detailed descriptions of food and drinks. Our server greeted us at the door and was very attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

What a beautiful stylish yet cozy place with the DELICIOUS Indian food right in the centre! A great find. This place was recommended by a close Indian friends, and we were not disappointed. For the five of us we ordered two rice dishes and three curry dishes. It was more than plenty. Leave some room for the deserts. Tasty cocktails too!

From the moment we stepped into Colonel Saab , we knew we were in for a treat. Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant offers a sublime dining experience that caters to both the palate and the soul. The cocktails by Krishna was impeccable. From the warm welcome at the door to the attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff, every aspect of the service is top-notch. Our waiter was courteous, prompt, and had an impressive understanding of the menu, providing excellent recommendations tailored to our tastes. I would highly recommend this beautiful fine dining restaurant to my family and friends

We booked this restaurant for my birthday and it was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is nice in terms of decoration and has polite and helpful staff. We ordered different curries, naan rice and dessert. All was quite tasty and filling. The price is a bit on the high side but I would recommend the restaurant and come back. They also added a candle on my dessert for my birthday which was a nice touch.
