Harmony Hall, Melody Room

Looking for a venue in Waltham Forest for that special family party? Or for space for running a community group? Or want to run an IT course? Then look no further. Just off Walthamstow High Street at the centre of the borough is Harmony Hall, a multicultural family centre serving the people of Waltham Forest.

It comprises two medium sized halls (90 people seated or 120 people standing), a Studio Room for teaching or meeting space and an IT suite with ten terminals which doubles as meeting space. Spaces are available for hire seven days a week, from 8am to 11.30pm. The rooms and halls are arranged on two floors with a modern kitchen used for heating and serving food or making tea and coffee. A large number of circular function tables or Gopak trestle tables and chairs are available at no extra charge. The downstairs hall boasts a stage with proscenium arch and has a full audio visual sound and lighting system. Moderate alcohol consumption is permitted on the premises, although sale of alcohol is not permitted. The upstairs hall, whilst not yet disability accessible, is light and airy and can be used as one large space or divided into two sections by a full partition, ideal for education classes or for those groups that need two smaller spaces. Upstairs, we have a newly designed shared office space for hire with internet and photocopier access provided.

We currently have a huge range of different community groups, faith communities and adult education classes taking place each week in addition to a community art gallery exhibition space in reception, which makes the venue a hub of activity.

Light, airy and flexible, the Melody Room can be sub-divided by foldable sliding doors which can create two separate rooms (7.70 X 5.0 metres and 7.40 X 7.40 metres). Located on the first floor, this Room is not as yet disability accessible. It's the ideal setting for a variety of functions such as sports and exercise classes, birthday parties and faith groups. There is optional kitchen hire available on the ground floor. The Room also has an interactive whiteboard. Special rates are available on request to accommodate private parties on a Saturday.
