Town Hall Hotel, Bethnal Hall

The Town Hall is a Grade II listed building set in the heart of London's vibrant East End. Featuring avant-garde design with Edwardian architecture and Art Deco interiors, this is an unforgettable venue and it's no wonder the hotel has been repeatedly chosen as a filming locations for productions such as Atonement, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Brideshead Revisited and even Poirot. Whether you're organising a wedding, product launch, conference or board meeting, events at Town Hall are more than just a gathering.
An elegant, refined space with high ceilings, huge windows and polished woodpanelling on the walls. Unlike many event spaces, where folding doors provide flimsy partitions, Bethnal Hall is separated by solid walls of polished wood which recess into the ceiling, using the original, reconditioned, 30s mechanism. The result is up to four completely separate, private spaces, or a large theatre or conference area to accommodate from 10 to 220 people.

Great location, service was great too. Initially had some issues with the room so they switched me to another room and the stay was amazing. Also the gym was surprisingly well-equipped and nice. Thanks so much Town Hall Hotel!!!

Really enjoyed the size of the rooms, and layout. Pool looked great but the water was too cold. The location is quite nice near the Central line. Only complaint is that there were no irons or ironing boards in the room, and when requested we waited three hours and none was delivered. They also added €9.22 / day to the bill automatically as “service charge”, when I asked they told me it was an optional tip for the staff. I was leaving a tip anyway but please don’t try to sneak it onto my bill.

Nice hotel. Rooms are clean, cool and comfy. Really interesting building. Lacks a bit of ‘life!’. Disappointing that no bar or restaurant open during our stay, seemingly closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at least which I found off for a hotel of this level. Staff lovely

A nice hotel with helpful staff. I once left my laptop charger there and they held it for me until my next visit. Try to get a room on the Ground Floor as they seem to be more airy. I once stayed on the top floor and it was quite warm. Overall. A good place to stay. Not a great location but using easily available electric bikes makes it accessible.

Nice hotel but does not conform to the standards of Marriott if you’re a frequent traveller from the U.S. Titanium level, and I presume other levels, have no meaning at this location. No upgrades, no breakfast included, etc. Staff stated this was due to recent policy changes locally. Nice establishment for the East side, beware if expecting to be rewarded for you loyalty to Marriott however.
