Really enjoyed the size of the rooms, and layout. Pool looked great but the water was too cold. The location is quite nice near the Central line. Only complaint is that there were no irons or ironing boards in the room, and when requested we waited three hours and none was delivered. They also added €9.22 / day to the bill automatically as “service charge”, when I asked they told me it was an optional tip for the staff. I was leaving a tip anyway but please don’t try to sneak it onto my bill.

Nice hotel. Rooms are clean, cool and comfy. Really interesting building. Lacks a bit of ‘life!’. Disappointing that no bar or restaurant open during our stay, seemingly closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at least which I found off for a hotel of this level. Staff lovely

A nice hotel with helpful staff. I once left my laptop charger there and they held it for me until my next visit. Try to get a room on the Ground Floor as they seem to be more airy. I once stayed on the top floor and it was quite warm. Overall. A good place to stay. Not a great location but using easily available electric bikes makes it accessible.

We stayed here in one of the Deluxe Two Bedroomed Suites on a Friday and Saturday night. We were staying in London for a family event and had my 93 yr old mother with us. Our suite was on the lower ground floor and so was rather dark however it was a good size and generally had all we needed. We did not eat at the hotel as we used our kitchen to make our own breakfast and were out the rest of the time. Our suite was large with 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a lounge with dinning table and a fully fitted kitchen area. This did not come cheap £881 for 2 nights with no breakfast (even with a booking.com discount) but then it is London I suppose. Pros: We had comfortable beds with fresh clean white linen. Pretty clean although did find a sock behind a chair in one bedroom left by a previous occupant! The hotel is near a tube station and rooms are down a quiet side street so there was no road nose at all. Our room LG2 was right by the gym and swimming pool which looked lovely but we did not use. We were able to sit in the foyer for a couple of hours after checking out at 11am on our day of departure, which family logistics necessitated, with no problem. Cons: As mentioned our suite was dark being in the basement this was not helped by the fact several of the lights did not work anyway. The fridge door in the kitchen did not fit and on arrival had not been pushed into place so the fridge was wet and dripping. We discovered a knack of closing it but the door need attention. The main bathroom was not great. The shower/bath tap arrangement was very complicated and difficult to negotiate, the hot water when it does come this boiling hot and the bath is too deep and has very high sides which make it very dangerous to get in and out of. There was no mirror in one of the bedrooms and the hanging space in the wardrobes did not allow for full length dresses. Beware that the restaurants in the hotel are both closed on a Sunday. (breakfast service finishes at 11am and is very expensive according to another family member staying there). So when I asked for a coffee while we waited in the foyer they could not supply anything. I had to go to a small cafe down the road. There are few restaurants open in the area on a Sunday but apparently the Young V and A which is just down the road has a good cafe. Conclusion: it was a good place to stay given our family circumstances. House keeping and maintenance could be better. Restaurants in the hotel are expensive and there are few others in the immediate vicinity which look good. There are some about a 15min walk away in the Broadway Market area. Probably won't stay again personally but might recommend to others with reservations explained! The

Nice hotel but does not conform to the standards of Marriott if you’re a frequent traveller from the U.S. Titanium level, and I presume other levels, have no meaning at this location. No upgrades, no breakfast included, etc. Staff stated this was due to recent policy changes locally. Nice establishment for the East side, beware if expecting to be rewarded for you loyalty to Marriott however.
