Our venue boasts an exposed brick backdrop, an abundance of natural light and a stunning hanging garden of tropical plants. The spacious layout includes a cocktail bar, lounge area and separate dining space, as well as a covered summer terrace.
The building started life over 150 years ago as a brewery and later as a mechanic's workshop. We've lovingly restored it back to its full potential, keeping many of the original period features.
These details, along with the beautiful natural light, offer a stunning backdrop for photographs. It's a place so full of character that you'll never forget it.

We offer venue hire of our gorgeous event space located on Hackney Road, just a stone's throw from Bethnal Green station on the Central Line.

August 2024First and foremost, we celebrated our wedding with The Hackney and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Since the beginning, planning our wedding with them has been easy, straight-fordward and honestly felt very calming having this venue taking care of so many aspects of your wedding, you basically just think about the favours and clothing and that's it. When we arrived from our ceremony, the place was beautifully decorated, the team knows very well what they're doing and they do it best. You cannot doubt this guys with the food, the quantity, quality and flavour was superb. I was very pleasantly surprised with each bite. This chef must have a Michelin star at least. The team we had this night could not be better, they were friendly, attentive and very kind, we had a QR code for everyone to upload pictures of the wedding and they helped us uploading some very nice pictures. They were always very accommodating and helpful. If ever go just for a coffee or a work session, their coffee is amazing and everyday food as well crafted as our wedding menu. August 2024I’ve photographed a couple of weddings here recently and I’ve been really impressed by how friendly and professional this venue is. It’s a compact space but can cater for a decent crowd - up to 60 for a sit-down meal and more for a standing event/party. The style is industrial (as befits the location) with loads of lush greenery, candles and the all-important disco balls, and a covered outside area. As a wedding vendor, the staff treated me extremely welcomingly and kindly and I’ve heard from my clients that they also felt well looked after during the booking process. The food was amazing. It’s a great place for a cool East London wedding reception and I hope to work there again!

September 2024We celebrated our daughters wedding here recently. It was a fabulous venue, very stylish. The staff were all professional, very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was exceptionally good and we had a wonderful time and made many many lovely memories, which we will treasure forever.
