Located in The Brunswick Centre just off Russell Square, this historic arthouse cinema has been refurbished to the highest standards in both technology and design.
All screening rooms have Sony 4K projectors, and the main screen offers a Dolby Atmos sound system for a multidimensional cinema experience, making it the ideal location for film premieres and galas. The venue’s five screens are named after historic venues operated by Curzon since 1934, including the beloved Renoir, which is the largest theatre-style auditorium seating up to 150 people (including a separate VIP balcony). We also have more intimate screening rooms that can seat up to 30 people. There are bars on all three levels of the cinema. This includes a ground floor foyer with outdoor seating, which can be used for networking and drinks receptions, hosting parties of up to 150 people.
Incorporating a modernist design throughout, Curzon Bloomsbury is one of our most elegant venues.
The largest theatre-style auditorium (Renoir) seats up to 147 and includes a separate VIP balcony to make your event a unique experience.

February 2025Awesome staff there. My partner and I went there yet the film we wanted to see was sold out. The girl at the till was really nice to try to sort it out for us and gave us good advice to see another film which turned out to be great. Lovely experience.

February 2025Enjoyed this very much. The drinks are a little higher priced than I’m used to but that was alright. Saw a preview for Flow with a q&a with the director in a beautiful, comfortable screen so I can be thankful for that.

February 2025I absolutely love the programme in Curzon cinemas and have had memberships on and off for the past 20 years. Bloomsbury in particular has amazing selection of movies and documentaries. However, management, can you please do something about keeping clean the cafe/ bar area? I do get that evenings before screenings can get busy but it's so hard to find a table without having to clear off the used cups and bottles and glasses yourself - and when I asked the bar lady to come do it, she just took everything away but left all tables dirty and wet :( Definitely won't be spending time here again before screening - very unappealing. :( Some of the upholstery could do with a clean too.

February 2025This review is for the Membership, rather than for the cinema itself. Sorry Curzon Bloomsbury to give you this review, you are a lovely cinema, with good customer service, but it's the only way that I can make this complaint in a way that has any impact. This year, I didn't use up all of my free cinema tickets that are the primary benefit of the membership. When the membership expired, I received an email to say that my membership would auto renew, or if I wanted to cancel, I should email and ask for it to not renew. Because I hadn't used up all of my tickets, I evaluated that there was no point renewing, as I wasn't going to the cinema enough to justify the membership. What I was not told in any part of this communication was that the free ticket entitlement that I still had, would also expire, and I think 2 or 3 tickets would be lost. Had I known this, I would have made sure to use up these tickets. But it was not made clear. I think that it would be normal to allow these tickets to roll over until they were used, or, to give a 1 month period to allow the customer to use them up, but it is not okay to not give a warning that they will expire if the member doesn't renew. I think this is a very mean and mercenary practice and will not rejoin this cinema chain even if I start visiting more. Very disappointed customer, who feels that something that I paid for and believe I was entitled to, was taken away by a sneaky business practice.
