We went to Liverpool for a night out .we stayed on a Thursday. We found the room clean spacious and very grand which soke would class as old and dated . This is a grand hotel with good architecture and you just can't find that nowadays. Despite other people slating this hotel we loved it . We will go back again. We paid 56 quid for a one nights stay . I think that's a really good deal .

This hotel is situated close to the heart of the city centre with every type of amenities within close walking distance. The staff were polite and efficient. Service was of a good level. Room felt a little bit dated, but due to the reasonable price paid was balanced out, and it didn't detract from the stay. Definitely worth the stay and there was a very good selection for breakfast in the morning.

This hotel is a grand old lady that you can really imagine was spectacular in her hey day! The hotel now could do with a freshen up and cosmetic work but I had no issue with my stay here. I was on the 6th floor, my room was fine, decent size, very comfy bed and pillows. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, mini toiletries and iron and ironing board. The bathroom was spotless. Water pressure in the shower was crap but a minor issue. Wave bar in the basement is very cheap. Good location from local bars and nightlife and a stones throw from Lime St station. I've stayed all over the world, from 5 star luxury to youth hostels and I would absolutely recommend this hotel for a cheap clean stay. I didn't eat the food there so can't comment on that.

A beautiful old building with some amazing architectural features. A pity it is looking a little tired in places, but still has some gorgeous art deco features. The breakfast was lovely, food was tasty and fresh with great service. The room was very clean, if a little tired and a very comfortable bed. Reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. Thank you Hamza. We would definitely return.

STAY AWAY! We booked a Taylor Swift themed tea here and left without having anything except for tea. It started off with us wandering around trying to locate where the tea was held. We found two tables set up and decided to sit there-- no staff in sight. We then found someone and they told us someone would come to help us. Finally someone did and brought us tea. We reminded them of previous communications on allergies and she alluded to knowing this. However, then they brought out strawberry milkshakes (which was a consistency of milk) and 3 out of 4 couldn't drink because of allergies. The fourth adult tasted it and decided not to drink because it was milk. Apparently they don't offer alternatives because then she brought out a kids fruit juice for the three adults. At this point, we were done. We'd been there for 45 min and food hadn't been brought out. They clearly weren't prepared for food restrictions despite saying in previous emails they were. We decided to leave. We filed a complaint and asked for a refund and they only gave us 50% of it. We didn't even consume half of the set menu. At least charge us for the tea and give us back the rest. Very rude and unprofessional to still charge someone for something that was not delivered as promised. The hotel is dated and dirty. The service is even worse. And management is not helpful or reasonable. At any other regarded hotel, none of this would have happened. Book another place!
