Aloft Liverpool is a unique choice of wedding venue. It started life in 1903 as the Royal Insurance Building, an iconic creation in the heart of the city centre.
The Liverpool wedding venue has been awarded Grade II listed status, and extensive work has been carried out on the building to ensure the interiors match the beautiful exterior. The walls are covered in Brazilian walnut panelling and the authentic high ceilings add to the grand feeling. The windows are original stained glass, making them the perfect backdrop for wedding pictures.
Aloft Liverpool boasts an impressive six-story atrium and a mezzanine bar which offers amazing views across the whole venue. There are also an additional two bars and 116 bedrooms so everyone can stay in style!
After being on the English Heritage risk register for 25 years, the venue is now back to its best and is ready to host your special day. Your wedding will be just as unique as the location as you can tailor everything to suit your needs, budget and style. The award winning chef and vast choice of packages means you and your guests will be completely taken care of throughout the whole day.
Visit Aloft Liverpool’s website to find out more about celebrating your wedding in such a beautiful setting.
Our Mezzanine is perfect for networking events and parties up to 60 guests. The space over looks the rest of the ground floor of the hotel, allowing your guests to remain part of the hotel atmosphere whilst being in a private space.

February 2025The staff were friendly and nice. I was able to check in around noon thanks to the room availability that day. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was that the body soap in the shower room had run out.

February 2025Very friendly helpful staff. Downside is that access for wheelchairs is difficult as the call bell isn't in existence. If I hadn't been able to go into Reception to ask staff to assist my wheelchair user daughter, I'm not sure what would have happened. Having said that, the staff are more than willing to help. Location is great but if you have a basement room be prepared for tube train rumblings.

December 2024Beautiful historic building, good location but this is below the Bonvoy standard I expected. Inside it looks like an ordinary 3-star hotel and that’s not what you pay for. Rooms are worn down and considering it’s only 10Y old, it must have been built in poor quality. The fitness is the most cold and unfriendly I’ve been in. Staff is very helpful and nice - only positive thing apart from a good location. Honestly, I would probably try something else next time.

January 2025Great location and I like a hotel with history. But it doesn't seem to be well managed. Firstly, the room has no soap or body wash. One of the lights was also broken which made a room a bit dark. Bath towels are tiny. We had a late checkout but this was not communicated to the housekeeping who ended up knocking and asking us directly. Then, there was literally someone waiting outside our door for us to check out.... The most annoying thing was that they advertise that they play PL games but they don't. Staff doesn't smile. Hotel has potential but that's it.
