We stayed 2 nights full board in an apartment suite on the second floor, comprising king size double room, a twin bedroom, a large lounge/private dining room, a bathroom with large bath and separate shower, with 2 washbasins. While the decor throughout the hotel was aging, and in places feeling quite sorry for itself, still presented itself as luxury. The evening menu was good. The food was very good. The breakfast buffet selection was fabulous. Fruit, cereal, yoghurt, croissant, pastries, as well as full English selection- all cooked well and presented nicely. Service in the restaurant both evening and breakfast was very good. What a wonderful relaxing stay. Easy to see why the Beatles, The Queen Mother, and Margaret Thatcher, all chose to stay here. Car parking - you need to arrive between 9 and 10 to get a space. It's £10 for 24hours. We arrived later on Saturday afternoon and had to park further down the road at The Hilton at £12 per 24hours. We will return to this hotel with its comfort and high standards, and great value pricing.

Fantastic stay! Beautiful old building, really comfortable bed, quiet peaceful rooms, nice thick curtains. Service was so good. Check in was easy, breakfast was good. All staff were very professional, a real pleasure to stay here, great location. will most definitely book again if staying in Blackpool. Great value too 😁

My visit was brief a few hours only, I was taking my youngest son for a job application/appointment. However at a glimpse the reception area was impressive and inviting, the staff quite amicable and helpful. Much to my surprise and amazement the number of photos on the walls of famous people who have, in the past, checked in there. Whilst waiting for my son on his return, I decided to explore and found myself drawn to the bar, which seemed quite inviting and observed, presumably, hotel residents were able to order snacks etc, as well, from menus placed at various tables, and on top of the bar. Overall a relaxed atmosphere 😌 presented itself, and the service pleasantly portrayed.

Stayed for four nights in a superior sea view room which was nicely decorated with amazing views over the sea. The bathroom could have done with updating but was clean and this wouldn't put me off staying again. The evening meals were lovely and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. I think the hotel is supposed to be undergoing refurbishment - it would be nice to see the leisure facilities reopened. Would visit again.
