Gibbon Bridge was established in 1982 when Janet Simpson and her mother decided to diversify from farming. What started as a barn, evolved into six bedrooms and a bar and the business continued to grow, into the hotel and country estate it is now, complete with an award-winning country hotel with 30 bedrooms and 23 acres of award winning gardens, including tennis courts and a helipad! 40 years on, it is still Janet's home and passion, and she enjoys nothing more than sharing it with others, for all manner of functions, including weddings. Her ethos has always been to make you feel at home here too and able to relax and enjoy our gardens, the fabulous scenery and our locally sourced food. Janet and the team will do our up-most to ensure your stay with us is made special and memorable.
The Orangery is a light contemporary space, adjoining the upper terrace, which brings the outside in offering the ideal place for any wedding, private dining experience, networking event, talk, meeting, conference, product launch, demonstration, press conferences or fashion show. Popular with breakfast meetings and lunches, it is used theatre or boardroom style, or with a long banquet style table along the middle of the room. It has previously been used for concerts and other performances, as well as a green room, pre-drinks or holding area before a main event.

March 2025We booked a lovely suite overlooking the beautiful garden. The room was modern and cozy with a large bathroom featuring a jacuzzi. The staff were excellent throughout our stay. We had dinner in the hotel for one evening. All three courses were brilliant. The preparation, taste, presentation, all outstanding. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
