March 2025My wife and I had a very nice day and overnight stay at the Ferry Inn on the 9th March for a birthday party. The food and service was excellent and the room we stayed in was comfortable with great views. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive.

March 2025Maxine & Chloe went above and beyond for our wedding. From the very beginning right til the very end, they provided the best service possible. Throughout the whole day they ensured myself and my wife had all we need alongside my guest. Harty ferry was the best venue we could has asked for. With nothing but the best reviews from our guests.. Thank you for bringing our big day to life ♥️

March 2025We got married at the Ferry House last Saturday and had the most amazing magical day and that was all down to the incredible team at The Ferry House. Sam & Chloe were our wedding coordinators on the day and they were absolutely faultless, the day ran perfectly and that was all down to them both. The food was incredible and every one of our guests commented on how amazing the food quality was. The rooms were super comfortable. The venue overall was just incredible, we would highly recommend anyone getting married to celebrate here. Thank you all.

March 2020Had a very enjoyable afternoon tea with friends, the selection of food items were superb and the service was exceptional. Stephen (front of house) is a great host and made us feel very welcome and Suzie (our waitress) was very attentive. We were seated promptly. The presentation of the food was lovely and very in keeping with the countryside theme. Very good value for money and the Inn itself is very nicely furnished with some finishing touches make it that feel that extra bit special.

March 2020I have enjoyed my stay at this beautiful Inn. The surroundings are full of character and charm, with the inviting open fires, hop laden beamed ceilings and very comfortable rooms to return to after work has been a pleasure. The attention to detail in the rooms makes the stay special with very comfortable beds, white linen and the added bonus of your own nespresso machine. The breakfast is a real treat with plenty of choice, including warm croissants, homemade preserves and a fabulous full English. The staff and owner are great, accommodating, approachable and very professional. Thankyou all for making me feel very welcome.

March 2025We went to The Ferry House for lunch yesterday. It’s situated in a beautiful scenic spot and offers farm to table food in its restaurant. Unfortunately they were hit by some kind of technical hitch which meant we waited over an hour for our meal to arrive. We heard one of the staff explain this to the table behind us. We thought she might also give us an update, but no. I waited a few more minutes and then asked for an update on our order. We overheard others asking about their meals as well. A technical hitch is no one’s fault but the staff manager should have had the team checking in with each table and updating them rather than leaving everyone to sit there. We were offered a free drink but since we were still on the ones we had ordered, we declined. We both ordered the roast beef. The veg was tasty and plentiful but I had 3 tiny pieces of beef which were gristly. My partner’s beef was the same. Pretty sure we got the tail end of the roast because we heard one of the staff telling another table that there was no roast beef left. Disappointing given the Sunday roast is a national institution. I am happy to tip for good food and service but adding 12.5% to the bill in this case stung. Even the waitress who took our payment (and she was pretty much the only one paying any attention to the customers) looked uncomfortable. Technical issues are no-ones fault but how you handle the situation makes all the difference.
