Had a fantastic visit to Leeds Castle with my girlfriend! The staff were brilliant, the crowds were not too bad, and the history was very interesting. The ham and cheese toastie alone was worth the trip… absolute perfection. The maze, however, nearly claimed us for good… but we made it out (eventually). Highly recommend!

Been to Leeds Castle few year back and I have it in a good memory so decided to go with my family at Christmas time and it was wonderful. You really can go there again and again and it will always be interesting and nice. Castle itself it’s gorgeous and huge, there is so much to see and if you love history like I do you will love all about it. Grounds and gardens are also very large and so beautiful. There is big maze ,bird show, cafe, restaurant, open theatre during summer, golf ..and more. You can have a picnic with your family or friends. There is very large car park that is free. Best thing is you pay ticket once and you can go again and again for one year. This is definitely Kent’s treasure.

We stayed in a Stable Courtyard room for my birthday treat. I requested a certain room as I wanted it to be extra special and my wish was granted. The Castle and grounds were fantastic, even on a cold wintry morning. The Courtyard restaurant was a lovely barn, we had lunch on arrival, evening dinner, the views towards the castle were stunning day and night and woke to a beautiful sunny day having breakfast there too. The service was great throughout. The Maze was great fun and you have a cute grotto in the centre. All staff and volunteers are extremely welcoming and happy to share their knowledge with us. Tip:- The price of b and b included free access the castle, grounds, maze and grotto. Residents can also roam around once it closed to the public.

Leeds Castle has a lot to offer everyone, adults as well as children. After an audio tour of the house we then went on to look around the aviary where birds of prey are kept. There are falconry displays to watch, included in the ticket price. The maize is great fun, taking you to a tower where you can look out or even help those people struggling to find the centre. The way out is via stairs to a lit grotto. Children can amuse themselves in the giant sand pit, laid out like a beach with a few deck chairs, if you are lucky to find one free. Throughout the park geese and ducks roam. You can buy a bag of bird food at the entrance shop for £1. Other activities that cost extra are crazy golf and a road train ride. The cafe and restaurant sells a good range of food and drink. We opted for a Sunday roast dinner and it truly ranks up there with one of the best I’ve ever eaten. We are members of the Camping and Motorhome Club so got 20% off the admission price. Otherwise it is cheaper to buy your tickets online.
