Set within the beautiful grounds of Canterbury Cathedral, a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site, in the heart of the City of Canterbury, Kent. The Cathedral Lodge offers brides a very special and truly unique wedding reception venue.
This wonderful venue caters for anything from a small intimate wedding breakfast in the Restaurant, to a sit down meal for up to 120 guests in the stunning Clagett Auditorium. Couples may choose to enjoy a drinks reception in the Kentish Barn, which enjoys wonderful views of the Cathedral from its large bay windows or alternatively the Campanile Garden is available for Summer drinks receptions and of course those very important photos.
Guests can stay overnight in one of the 35 well-appointed hotel bedrooms, with the majority enjoying stunning views of the Cathedral and gardens. All overnight guests receive a full English breakfast in the morning and entrance to Canterbury Cathedral throughout their stay. In line with the true ethos of the Cathedral, you will be assured a very warm welcome.

December 2024If you are going to Canterbury for the Cathedral you just have to stay here. Views of same from rooms, free passes, in cathedral precinct. Comfortable too with good breakfast. Plenty of good restaurants in town.

December 2024Rooms are a bit old-fashioned, but cosy. Breakfast was super. Very friendly welcome and dito staff. When you're a guest, you have free access to the cathedral.

October 2024Have been to several functions at the Cathedral Lodge, the setting is fantastic and location wise it is ideal! The venue is lovely inside and suitable for many different occasions I have been to work Christmas party's, afternoons teas and weddings here. Only gripe is the bar area is relatively small so service there can take a while. Otherwise would definitely recommend!
