January 2025Great country park with a lovely visitors centre and shop. Adequate car park - pay to park. Busy early on a Saturday as has a parkrun at 9am. Well maintained footpaths for walkers or runners.

February 2025Nice walk round the outer perimeter, footpath reasonably well made up but has a few low spots very noticeably after a wet night! It's a young forest so no nice old trees to admire but still a nice walk round the large lake in the centre. As your walking round there are also places to stop and view the wildlife. There is a nice place for drinks and food and a play ground for the kids. You can also hire a bike for a ride round the place.

December 2024This is a great place for a walk, and really great if you have kids that like to run around a lot and like wind turbines. Parking is reasonably priced, but not free. The visitor's centre is a beautiful building which has information, a shop, and a cafe inside. Dogs are welcome in the cafe. Outside of that is a playground area with swings, slides, and a good network of ropes as a climbing frame.
