Had my wife's birthday here (oct 24) and did the party package. It was fantastic, Claire and the team took care of it all and this made it do strss free. The guests and wife had so much fun. We had guests stay over and they were very happy with the accommodation and breakfast in the morning was great. Really recommended, charming venue, happy staff and great food.

A fantastic pub with a wonderful cozy vibe. We heard about the dukes’ rating on tripadvisor and decided to have a roast here. Lovely old listed building with a thatched roof, low ceilings, open fires and dimly lit fairy lights inside make it a very nice place to go. The food was exceptional. I was served the most tender and flavourful lamb and roasties with tenderstem broccoli, carrots and cabbage and I couldn’t get enough of the cauliflower cheese. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. Truly wonderful. The staff were attentive and knew everything about the menu when we asked questions and were quick to take the order. Top marks I’d have no issue recommending this pub.
