The Vale Resort set amidst over 650 acres of beautiful Welsh countryside and is home to a luxuriously appointed 143 bedroom, four star hotel once part of the estate of Hensol Castle– a 17th century stately home.
Ideally located just minutes from junction 34 of the M4, the Vale Resort combines convenience and accessibility with the unsurpassed beauty of the tranquil Vale of Glamorgan countryside in which it resides. Indeed, upon entering our gates you and your guests will become aware that you have arrived somewhere quite special and quite unique.
After all, the Resort combines exquisite landscaped gardens, sweeping staircases and classic terraces for an idyllic year round ceremony venue, guaranteed to deliver a warm welcome and a stunningly photogenic setting for your special day.
For everything from the ceremony, to the reception and the evening function, even the pre-ceremony celebrations, why not let our wedding co-ordinator take the strain so that you can enjoy the most memorable event of your life.

Although worlds away from the city bustle, business delegates feature prominently on the hotel’s agenda, with superb facilities and packages to suit a client’s every need. This offering has now been vastly improved with the opening of one of the largest conference centres in South Wales. Now able to accommodate 700 delegates for a conference and 420 for a banquet, the centre also boasts an impressive number of break-out rooms, a brasserie style restaurant and bar. This, in addition to existing facilities positions the Vale Resort as a leading UK conference destination venue.

My husband and I recently got married at the Vale Resort and we could not speak any higher of this venue. Everything from start to finish was absolutely fantastic. Our wedding planners were Laura and Grant and our day was truly everything we hoped for and more, we're so grateful to them! The service we received from start to finish was impeccable and Phoebe from reception could not have been more helpful, she's truly an asset to the vale. The rooms are also amazing, and so big! We will definitely be back soon for more celebrations ☺️

The Vale, South Wales - A Perfect New Year’s Eve Experience! We had the pleasure of attending the gala New Year’s Eve party at The Vale, and it was a truly memorable experience. From start to finish, the evening was flawlessly executed. The food was absolutely delicious, with every course being both beautifully presented and full of flavor. The entertainment was equally impressive—fabulous performances kept everyone engaged throughout the night. The DJ deserves a special mention for keeping the energy alive and ensuring the dance floor was always packed. Welcoming the New Year in such a stylish and vibrant atmosphere was the perfect way to start 2025. Our hotel room was equally impressive. The queen-size bed was incredibly comfortable, and the views were breathtaking, adding a serene touch to our stay. The spa facilities were an added bonus, offering a perfect way to unwind and relax during our visit. Overall, The Vale exceeded all expectations, delivering an unforgettable celebration and an exceptional stay.

Stayed for the spa break which included an overnight stay, 3 course dinner, breakfast and then a 50 minute spa treatment with afternoon tea all for £200pp which was great value. The location is stunning and really easy to get to. The room was nothing special and I thought looked a bit dated considering this isn’t that old of a place - there wasn’t even a smart tv which is a bit odd for a luxury hotel. The spa experience was great and the facilities are spotless clean. Food was decent considering it was included in the price of the package. I paid an extra £30 for some roses and chocolates as a surprise for my partner but don’t bother with this. All we came into was some brown looking white rose petals and a tiny box of chocolates. I thought it would be a nice touch but it was done poorly and was far too expensive even as a one off. Overall I would recommend this package if it comes up again, but don’t bother with the extras.

Review is just for spa - visited for a couples spa day on a Friday in February. It was nice but we both agreed it wasn't a 'relaxing spa'. The treatment was good. The pool area and jacuzzi etc were fine but very busy with loud people swearing and talking very loudly to each other which wasnt relaxing. The relaxation room with water beds is right next to reception so certainly wasn't quiet. Food is served as a buffet in a space which feels as if it is a beauty section of a departmental store - again, not relaxing. Been to more relaxing spas.
