The Elvetham Hotel is a 19th-century country manor house with a site history that dates back over 1,000 years having played host to nobility and royalty alike such as King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I.

Today the hotel consists of 91 modern bedrooms split between our main house and Stables, a relaxing lounge bar, an elegant restaurant and 4 unique function rooms which can be adapted to suit any event.

Our Library is the biggest function space at The Elvetham. It has original antique bookcases on its walls, large windows overlooking the beautiful grounds, and a fancy fireplace, all adding a touch of grandeur to any event. We also have a separate kitchen dedicated to catering for events in the Library, making it ideal for any kind of celebration. It can fit up to 200 people for receptions and up to 120 for dining.

Absolutely stunning venue! A fantastic team who were on hand to help and made sure all of us celebrating the wedding there were looked after, especially Lola in the bar! Beautiful rooms, stunning location and grounds, can't fault it.

When we drove up the winding, picturesque drive to the breathtaking entrance of The Elvetham, we were convinced we had booked the wrong hotel. How could such a beautiful and luxurious place allow dogs? To our delight, the young gentleman who checked us in made us and our dog feel incredibly welcome. Although I didn’t catch his name, his warmth and professionalism stood out. Every member of the team was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy, reflecting the remarkable effort put into their training. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and this high standard of service was evident in every area we explored. The hotel’s grounds are stunning, and the rich history of The Elvetham adds an extra layer of charm and intrigue. Thank you for an unforgettable experience at your magnificent manor. We look forward to our next stay at The Elvetham.

Very attractive hotel with immaculate grounds. Staff are friendly and attentive and food of very good quality Service marked down only because guests with dogs could eat in the bar (but not the restaurant) but this area is not set up for comfortable eating. Only low coffee tables or small bar tables are available, difficult for a couple eating together. Apart from this, an extremely enjoyable stay in a delightful location. We hope to return in the near future.

A massive shoutout to Barry, Jenny, Janet and Shane. Without these 4 people, we wouldn't have had the incredible weekend that we did. My daughters wedding was held at the Elvertham and once we arrived to the venue for the weekend we knew we were in the safest of hands. Janet worked 2 hours over her shift to ensure the rooms were all ready and everyone was catered for. Barry looked after us impeccably and went above and beyond the entire weekend to ensure it ran smoothly. Jenny went to extreme measures to keep the day running smoothly, made sure my daughter ate on her wedding day and was the loveliest member of the team! Shane looked after us all the next morning for breakfast, ensured we had enough seats for all the family and kept food coming all morning! This team really does make the hotel was it is and deserve all the praise we can give them. Thank you!

The building and grounds are doing all the heavy lifting. There’s no doubting the beauty of the building and location. The rooms are all very well appointed, clean etc The hotel and especially the catering is missing a beat. The room, although attractive,. Cheap coffee and a lack of shower gel in the shower. There is expensive looking shampoo, condition and body lotion but not the one thing you’re most likely to actually use. The same goes for whoever is managing the morning breakfast. Things were missing from the buffet (empty sausages and bacon!?!), no glasses with the juice, no butter (or spread) with the toaster. There was some hidden away. The staff were all helpful but they appear to be swimming uphill against some really poor catering management. I was told they were “busy” and we’d have to wait for a table for 4. Upon viewing there were loads of empty tables that were waiting to be reset. That’s catering management skills - entry level. When we were waiting, we were forgotten. Lovely place and very pretty, I expected much better.
