Awesome place for a long weekend or a romantic getaway. The location is amazing and the facilities are good but the rooms are dated. Remember to take a dip in the pool or let your steam off in the sauna after a nice hike in the nearby forest. Though small, they are both nice and clean. The restaurants setting are very nice but the food is disappointing. It is not bad but it is just bland. Overall I do not regret the stay but I will not be returning.

A really pleasant stay! The grounds of this venue are spectacular with deer and wildlife around every corner. Our room itself was big with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was slightly dated but lovely and clean none the less. We had room service for dinner in our room which we were pleasantly surprised by. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating. The Hand Picked Group just seem to knock it out of the park when it comes to offering a relaxing and reliably pleasant experiencing at their hotels.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights before the start of our cruise from Southampton. We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The hotel and setting is gorgeous. The service is the best we've ever experienced anywhere in the world. We ate all of our meals at the hotel the entire time and we thought the food was outstanding. We especially liked our dinner at The Armada restaurant and having our breakfasts there as well. Since we didn't have a car, we loved how accessible the trails were from the hotel. We loved hiking the nearby tall trees trail so see some giant trees. Our room was beautiful and the bed so comfortable. We had a view of the new forest and were lucky to see deer from our room. We can't say enough good things about this fabulous hotel. We hope to be back one day .

Attended a wedding and stayed three nights. Staff were great, very welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed the lounge bar and menu selection. Hotel grounds were very well presented and maintained. Room was small for the price, nice touches with the water and fresh milk but one would expect that from such a Hotel. Lots of dust around yhe hotel and parts of the appearance was rough around the edges. Breakfast selection and service was very good. Overall the grounds, service, and food were very good. Looking deeper into the function rooms and around the hotel could do with attention. Was it worth the price paid not sure?
