Nice. Checked in for the evening. Perfect . Had a curry in town. Back to the spotless room. Massive bed, very comfortable. Down for fresh cooked scrambled eggs. The staff were all very polite. Well done to the young staff starting their working life here. Good size car park and lighting. Q hotels are a chain. 5 stars. Must try the pool next time.

An interesting spot, I’m not really sure what it is trying to be. Plan your stay carefully as if you are travelling with a partner or family it can be quiet the trek to the rooms! The bar meal food was great, staff were friendly, room clean and tidy and a lovely spot. It’s purely the spread out nature of the complex that dropped it one star for me. Particularly in the pouring rain in the morning leaving!

From the moment we arrived to such a warm welcome, to the moment we left, our experience was really positive. We did have a small issue with dinner but it was handled and resolved really well. Breakfast had plenty of options and off the menu egg requests were fulfilled by really lovely staff. The pool is great and there are set times when you can go in with children. The tea selection in the room could be better but if that’s the only fault I found you can’t go wrong if you decide to stay here! Really recommend and will be back with my family next time.

Me and my partner booked a visit here for Valentine’s Day, after we booked we were informed that they had double booked us and suggested we either receive credit or book another day. We decided to book for the next available date which was in March. They proceeded to mess up the booking another time also. This was fine, annoying but it’s okay, as long as we got the service in the end. The spa itself was lovely, I had Olga for my back massage and facial treatment and it was amazing, she truly has magic hands! My partner also had a lovely experience in the spa. It was a shame that the steam room was broken during this visit, nothing was offered, but I guess this can’t be expected. The worst part of this experience was the lunch. We had given our orders 2 hours prior to our scheduled lunch. We arrived at our selected time and then waited over an hour for two Caesar salads. Communication from the team was poor, when we asked where our food was we got a ‘sorry’ and nothing else. When our food arrived, after waiting for an hour or so, the food was not only of poor quality but so were the excuses. The server let us know that this was because they were ‘really busy’. We were one of two tables that were eating in the restaurant (pictured below). There was a couple next to us who had experienced the exact same situation, and had waited an hour and a half for their food too! We didn’t even finish the salad and we left rather disappointed, although we’re still relaxed from our treatments I must say. So it wasn’t entirely negative. We could see two chefs walking around the grounds, maybe they should’ve been in the kitchen working!! (Again pictures below!) I can’t say much for the hotel rooms but the location of this hotel is gorgeous and very rural. Simply the restaurant was a very disappointing experience.

After staying here for the last few days on the pretence that it is rated a 4 star hotel and plus it sounded quite fancy it was such a let down that when entering the hotel the reception staff seemed quite rude when questions were asked about parking. Further more you will need to be athletic to reach the rooms as they are about 1000 steps from the reception and up multiple flights of stairs or lifts. Our 1st room was inadequate from the phone not working and the air conditioning unit not working but these matters were quickly taken care of and were moved to another room. Even though we booked a superior king suite the room was small, the beds were rather uncomfortable also. We went to the restaurant bar for an evening meal which was disappointing as the staff forgot our orders. Over all the hotel is beautiful and has great potential for something great but at this time we found it lacked more than it gave in respect to comfort.
