A lovely afternoon at a lovely country pub. The food is delicious and the portions are great. Dog friendly too. Highly recommend

Excellent. Great value for money - 45 pounds for lunch for two adults and child, meal and drink each. Fresh food and nice portions. Good vegan options. Huge outdoor eating and play area. Very prompt and attentive service. good beer selection but sadly no craft beer on keg! Lots of parking.

The King Charles in Kings Worthy is a gem of a pub, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes every visit a delightful experience. The staff are the epitome of hospitality, greeting guests with genuine smiles and ensuring that every need is met with efficiency and grace. The menu is a treasure trove of traditional pub fare, with each dish prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. Whether it's the succulent 10oz Rump Steak or the hearty Steak and Caramelised Onion Ciabatta, the culinary delights here cater to all palates, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. The pub's ambiance is enhanced by its charming outdoor space, soon to be complemented by a play area, making it an ideal spot for family outings. With its excellent service, delectable food, and family-friendly environment, The King Charles truly deserves its five-star status.

We stopped off here for a late lunch having had difficulty finding availability elsewhere. The staff were super friendly and polite - a credit to the industry. The reason for four stars is while the food was good we found it expensive for what you got in terms of quality. The day a similar lunch meal at Rick Steins in Winchester and that was head & shoulders above but for the same price. That being said if you want a pub lunch with traditional fare its a good place to stop, if not for the staff alone.
