NESTLED IN THE HAMPSHIRE COUNTRYSIDE AND SURROUNDED BY WOODLANDS

Audleys Wood Hotel in Basingstoke, Hampshire, was a much loved home for much of its life and it is perhaps this episode in its history that gives the mansion such warmth and comfort to this day.

Built in the 1880s as a private home for Thomas Pain, it subsequently enjoyed a rich and colourful history, with owners and visitors including the rich and famous. Today it is a 72 bedroom, 4 star hotel surrounded by woodlands and seven acres of private grounds.

The hotel offers a range of bedrooms, from Classic to Feature rooms. Whether you are visiting for business or pleasure, Audleys Wood has so much to offer. It is the perfect venue for christenings, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements or just getting together with good friends for some fine dining. The Garden Pavilion is a self contained wedding venue and for meetings and conferences there are a whole host of options we know you will like. Find us just 18 miles from Reading and 32 miles from Southampton, with easy access from the M3.

Very nice hotel in the countryside just outside Basingstoke. We spent one night and felt very welcome, very attentive staff and food was excellent. Lot of time to relax and sleep well in a beautiful room next to the garden. Excellent Sunday roast.

We stayed with a group of friends to celebrate a 50th school reunion. We had arranged a package for private dining (our own space to chat and socialise) plus a meal. Before we arrived Christina helped us plan the day, keeping in contact and responding to questions promptly and efficiently! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left things could not have received better service, everyone was helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Andrea for your warm welcome and assistance. The food was top notch, thank you Mohammed for your attentive service during our meal!! The ambience was relaxing and amazing (the hotel sits in its own well maintained grounds.) Breakfast was well organised the food fresh and well presented! Thank you Sebastian and your colleagues for serving us so efficiently! We have already decided to meet up here again in a couple of years time. I am already looking forward to it.

I stayed here for the first time earlier this week. It’s a lovely building, set in immaculate grounds. The staff were among the best I have known: friendly, welcoming, pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. My room was huge, cool, spotless. The bed was massive and very comfortable. I cannot speak highly enough of the place and the staff. I am in that locale quite often and I will make sure to stay there as often as possible. Thank you all for making it such a lovely stay.

The building is beautiful and the employees cannot do enough to help and support you. The rooms are very comfortable and the food delicious. I always enjoy my stays and it is my go to hotel when working in the area.

My niece's wedding, an amazing venue and a lovely place. The grounds are really really lovely and the staff are friendly. My only gripe is the cost of drinks which are astronomical. The cost place ratio is completely disproportionate. They are charging vastly over the top and taken advantage of wedding parties etc
