We came for afternoon tea so can't comment on the rooms - the tea was really high quality (and priced appropriately) - cakes were generous and savouries delicious. Plenty to take home at the end. The only complaint was that sandwiches (in my opinion) for afternoon tea should have very thin bread (so it is about 50% filling to bread) so as not to fill one up before you get to the scones and cakes.

We had a delightful time having our afternoon tea here! I definitely recommend and it's a 10 out of 10 that Jack was the absolute attentive and helpful server. He made sure we were okay several times, demonstrated the tea samples for us, and checked on us consistently. He was very helpful, pleasant, and accommodating to us. We were more than satisfied and enjoyed every moment of our afternoon tea time. Thank you so much, Jack!

Went for a family meal, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was really good (they have a vegan menu) and of course the location is stunning. The only downside is that the service was quite slow, not terrible but quite lethargic. Also, and to be honest, it was very expensive, £22 for a plant burger is not cheap. It was very tasty though, as was the hummus and crackers! So all in all, a lovely venue, stunning views, friendly staff and great food, just slow and expensive.

Four stars as we only stayed the one night for a wedding reception. The food was very and tasty but some I would not have chosen but everything else was great. The arranged breakfast buffet was banging so really enjoyed that. There was any horse racing so relaxing and quiet too.

expectations for this property after hearing great things, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I booked a Junior Suite for four people, as clearly allowed by the website when selecting the number of guests. However, after finalizing the booking, I was shocked to see it listed for only two people—a clear misrepresentation of the booking process. Rather than acknowledging this issue, the hotel repeatedly failed to understand the basic principle of my complaint. It was never about the price; it was about the misleading information on their website and their complete lack of willingness to listen. After countless back-and-forth emails, they canceled my booking without my consent, adding insult to injury. The customer service has been atrocious—rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to take responsibility for their own system’s error. Instead of trying to resolve the issue fairly, they refused to offer any reasonable solution. This has been one of the worst booking experiences I have ever had, and I strongly advise others to be cautious when booking with this hotel. If this is how they treat customers before arrival, I can’t imagine what the actual stay would have been like. Avoid at all costs.
