The Engine Works, The Print Rooms

A beautiful venue and the only one we viewed, we just knew it was exactly what we were looking for. Hannah was our Co-ordinator on the day, she made sure everything ran smoothly and was a massive help on the run up too. Rebecca who organises drinks etc was also so helpful and guests loved the cocktail station we had! The venue itself is a stunning background for any style of wedding/event. The furniture that you can hire fits perfectly with the aesthetic and is very reasonably priced. All communication with the venue was great and they really do everything they can to insure you have the perfect day. They also supply a list of recommended vendors and the ones we went with were all amazing.

I love Glasgow, so I was incredibly happy to be asked to photogaph a wedding at the legendary Engine Works. I'm such a fan of industrial wedding venues, especially when there are so many locations for photos, inside and outside. We shot the couples portraits in 3 different locations - outside against the black corregated iron doors and upstairs in the studio room, then along the canal at sunset. This means the couple have a mix of modern gritty backdrops as well as a bit of nature for their portraits. The ceremony room is separate to the main dining area, and there's plenty of room at the bar for your guests to mingle when they arrive. The outdoor courtyard is brilliant for confetti and sparklers photos - because the area is completely walled in by the buildings and canal, it's protected from any breezes. The wedding ended with a ceilidh, which you need lots of space for, so the huge dancefloor was perfect for this. The staff were super helpful and really looked after me and my couple all day.
