The Engine Works is a truly unique space that offers you a refined and luxurious experience. Located in Glasgow's West End - it is an industrial blank canvas venue packed with architectural features, and with full exclusive hire, the only limit to its use is your imagination.
We offer an exceptional space for a wide range of events, seamlessly blending Glasgow's rich industrial heritage with a contemporary and modern concept. With a history dating to 1837, this venue has been sympathetically restored to preserve its magnificent 19th-century features while effortlessly integrating the latest contemporary features, including underfloor heating and all modern amenities.
The Engine Room has a capacity for up to 300 (seated), with a fully stocked and staffed bar, underfloor heating and high end toilet facilities. This space is extremely versatile and is perfect for a whole host of different events, from weddings to product launches. The only limit on its use, is your imagination.

August 2024An outstanding wedding venue that holds a lot of character and space for you to create something magical! We had an amazing amount of support on the lead up to the wedding with our wedding coordinator Erin!! There truly are no words to describe how amazing it was to have her there during the planning process and the wedding day itself. Nothing was too much of an ask for her and we knew that everything was going to go to plan due to her dedication and hard work at ensuring your vision comes to life. We will forever be grateful to have had her be a part of our day!! Cannot recommend the venue enough we are still receiving compliments 3 months on! Fantastic place with fantastic staff

August 2024We had a wedding at the engine works. The staff are incredibly accommodating and genuinely friendly. The venue was lovely and many of our guests commented this. The fact that we had the whole place to ourselves was phenomenal. Rain or shine the place was great. The staff (particularly Hannah) was flexible it letting my wife and I do a few things different and bring our own style to the event. All in all I can say that it was a great experience.
