I really enjoyed this place - the architecture of the building is stunning to start with, then the collection of art amassed over many years is astounding. Free entry to the main areas. You could spend many, many days here. A Degas exhibit was on whilst we were there which was also exceptional. Well worth the visit - oh and don’t forget to also visit the highland cows nearby too!

Fantastic museum! 6,000 objects on display out of the total of 9,000 objects. Quite a variety of art of various sorts, historical objects, works by well known masters, and more. Very extensive collection. Plus the building itself is very interestingly designed and very enjoyable to walk around as you view the museum pieces. Plus it's in a park where you can see Hyland Cattle and get in a nice walk if you'd like. All together I spent 6 hours and enjoyed all of it.

I visited the Burrell Collection yesterday primarily to view the Degas exhibition, which featured a stunning collection of about 30 exquisite artworks. After that, I participated in a one-hour free tour of the rest of the collection led by the amazing volunteer guide, Helen. She was incredibly knowledgeable about all the artworks in the museum and truly a valuable source of information. The museum itself is quite remarkable, filled with natural light and allowing the artworks to be displayed at a comfortable distance from one another, making it easy to appreciate each piece. Given the diverse eras and civilizations represented, I would have been lost without Helen’s insights, so the free museum tour was immensely helpful. Afterward, I enjoyed lunch at the lovely restaurant with a beautiful view of Pollok Park and browsed the gift shop, which offered unique art-inspired cards, prints, and souvenirs. I will definitely be returning! I had a wonderful time.

Beautiful museum. Free ! Amazing array of artefacts. Fascinating. Beautiful interior. Cafe is poorly arranged on a busy day. Expensive, £5.75 for soup. Slow service..... but nevertheless a lovely setting to relax and look out. Water free ! Parking a pain. Cant use a card....need change or app. Lovely setting. Great walks all around. Ideal for dogs 🐕. Kids outdoor playground popular too. Top place. Love it. ❤️
