5/5 Stars Our stay at The Scotsman Hotel was fantastic! From the warm welcome to the beautifully designed rooms with stunning views, everything was perfect. The location between the Royal Mile and Princes Street made exploring a breeze. The breakfast was delicious, and the newly opened gym was top-notch. Highly recommend for an unforgettable Edinburgh experience!

We celebrated my birthday back in July here and forgot to review but had the most incredible afternoon tea here, I still think about how lovelyit was months later! 11/10. I have nothing much further to really describe perfection off the bat. The staff were excellent. The food was lovely. Everything felt the extra mile.

I stayed here back in August with my husband for a week. We decided to have an elopement ceremony in Edinburgh from the US. When I called 5 days before to confirm my stay, there were issues. But my issues were completely fixed and quickly solved by Holly in reservations. She was SO helpful and I really appreciated it. The hotel staff was so kind and welcoming. We had such a wonderful stay. We stayed in the City View Feature Room. It was such a beautiful room and very spacious. It was very clean and a pleasure to stay in. At one point I thought the AC wasn't working, and help was sent right away to help me. (It just had to take time to start up) but I really appreciated how fast help came. I felt very safe here, and I love how close it is to the Royal Mile. I had ordered flowers and chocolate to come to our room and they were both beautiful and came right on time. Everything was clean and the staff was so helpful. If I am ever lucky enough to go back to Scotland, I will stay here every time!

We loved this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect - right across from the train station and smack dab between Old Town and New Town. Our room was upgraded to a suite and it was wonderful. The staff were so helpful and kind. This used to be where The Scotsman newspaper was made and there are steps outside the hotel (you don't need to take them - other doors with elevators available) that are very interesting- my only complaint is that these need to be hosed down every morning. You really can't find a nicer, better located hotel in Edinburgh.
