Took our grandson (13) for a visit and we all really enjoyed it. 5 decks full of fascinating stories and insight into how the Royal family used the yacht. Seeing the rooms that they used and how the staff quarters were was amazing. The Queens Royal car was amazing too. All well worth a visit.

A little difficult to find initially as you have to enter rhe shopping centre to reach the start of the tour which isn't very clear when you first arrive at Ocean Terminal. However it is most definitely worth a visit. The guided tour was very informative and took you to all parts if the yacht. It was quite emotional knowing that you were seeing places where her late Majesty and the Royal family had been so happy and relaxed. You can easily spend 2-3 hours on board especially if you make use of the tea room.

Pinch myself! The Royal Yacht is a fascinating self guided audio tour of an incredible part of UK history. Used to rescue British off the beaches of Yemen in the 1980s, aid to Haiti after earthquake , host to American Presidents, foreign dignitaries, traveled over a million nautical miles...Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Tea room delicious lunch. Moored just behind a shopping center one can take the tram to the waterfront. As a sailor and history buff I spent hours looking at pictures, staff quarters, Royal rooms, tenders, below deck...charts, old nautical equipment...tourists from around the globe.

Fantastic. I can't imagine how anyone could be disappointed as it is extremely interesting to see where the Royal family enjoyed so many happy times for over 40 years. Beautifully presented with a good audio tour and friendly helpful staff. 5 decks showing the captains bridge, state apartments, crews quarters, engine room and many other parts of the ship. Very good value. Could do with better signposting outside to help find it.

Ah, the Royal Yacht Britannia! An unmissable experience for those wanting to see how the royal family enjoyed their luxurious travels. It's almost touching to see how they lived in such splendid and refined surroundings. Of course, there are the fake plants that add a touch of... authenticity? Isn't it a bit ridiculous, almost shameful, to use plastic plants on a ship of this caliber? But I guess maintaining real plants would have been too "real." Aside from this incredibly disappointing detail, the visit is fascinating. Every room, every detail makes you feel like a special guest of the royal family, almost as if you could step aboard and set off for some exotic destination. Too bad that, at least for the plants, reality is a bit less luxurious than one might expect. In any case, I highly recommend a visit for anyone wanting a taste of the glorious past of royal travels. But if you love real plants, maybe be prepared to turn a blind eye.
