January 2025We had such a great experience here! We were on a ten day trip to Scotland and our stay here was great. The service was stellar—anything we needed, any requests made, were fulfilled quickly and the staff is so friendly here! They held all of our bags/luggages when we went to Glasgow (we returned to stay here again on our last night before going home). They offer free breakfast and allowed us to bring food to our room (an option if you’re in a time crunch or if it’s too crowded). Overall, the rooms were great and the service was amazing! We had a great experience so I’d highly recommend staying here. We walked everywhere and had no issues, but the staff let us know they were happy to set up any taxi bookings if we needed (although we ended up ubering if things were too far).

January 2025We were so grateful for this hotel and everything they did for us on our trip. We came into Edinburgh late and our Air B&B turned out to not exist. This hotel happened to be across the street and we are members so I popped over to see if they had any rooms. They were so kind, letting us sit in their lobby, getting us some tea, and generally taking care of us, even before we decided to book rooms. We booked two rooms last minute and they were so kind and even upgraded us to suites because of our unfortunate situation. The breakfast was incredible, the staff were attentive and kind and we cannot say enough good things about this hotel. They truly saved our vacation.

February 2025I think the location is the only saving grace of this place. The rooms are dated and the shower has black mould. Additionally the oven is falling off in the room. This is not really the Marriott standard we were expecting when booking. If you want somewhere with a good location then this is a great place but if you want somewhere relaxing with extras I'd look elsewhere.

March 2025Staff are welcoming and supportive. The rooms are bigger than expected with the kitchen being the highlight. The location is also perfect. Now, the sofa has questionable stains, sofa table is broken, the wardrobe door is missing, breakfast needs to be re-organised and more. This makes you question validity of this 4 star hotel.
