Intercontinental Edinburgh The George, Hanover Suite

Had an amazing stay at the George, everyone made us feel welcome. The check in and check out processes were fantastic, speedy and efficient. Our room was lovely, the hotel in a perfect spot for us - 10 minutes to the Royal Mile with plenty of coffee shops along the way to grab a coffee.

My husband and I recently stayed at the InterContinental Edinburgh, The George Hotel, for a couple’s getaway, and we were thoroughly impressed with the experience. First and foremost, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the front desk staff for their warm welcome and for giving us VIP treatment upon check-in. It set the tone for what turned out to be a truly memorable stay. We would also like to recognize the outstanding service provided by the breakfast team. Amar, Anna, Ting, and Jolmar went above and beyond to ensure we had a delightful start to our day. Their attentiveness and friendliness made breakfast an exceptional part of our stay. Also, the housekeeping staff went above and beyond making sure our room was clean and cozy. A special thanks goes to Hal, the concierge, whose wealth of information and recommendations were invaluable for our first visit to Edinburgh. Hal’s expertise helped us make the most of our trip, and we’re so grateful for his assistance. Overall, the staff at The George Hotel made our getaway truly special, and we can’t thank them enough for their exceptional hospitality. We look forward to returning in the future!

This beautiful hotel is warm and well taken care of with great rooms. The staff is exceptional, from Monika at the front desk to the young lady in the Club Lounge. Every single employee we came in contact with went above and beyond to make our stay better. The Club Lounge had a great variety of canapés for the evening social hour and some yummy biscuits to try. The layout, although small, has great views for people watching and enjoyable atmosphere. I could not have been happier with our stay.
