I stayed there for two nights this week, for the second time, because the place is so cosy and quirky and in a really good spot. The folk who work there are also very friendly and helpful - on this occasion it was Mo in the bar and Helena and Ross on reception. I've stayed on the 2nd and 4th floors and both rooms were very quiet. Totally recommend.

Relatively new property in a good location...slightly off the main tourist streets but close enough to walk. The staff was helpful (Andrew was great helping to answer my billing question). The only issue is the 6 or 7 steps leading up to the outside entrance. This could be an issue for the elderly or infirm with baggage, so it's worth contacting the hotel in advance if this is you.

Loved the hotel, location is superb, decor is modern and quirky. Beautiful rooms (we had 2) but, our bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept on. Very springy and noisy, sunken in the middle. Bill was wrong but I noticed so I wasn't overcharged. Overall, I would go back but I'd check the bed before bedtime!

While a decent and nice hotel with good service, I am rating this lower due to a lot of inconvenience because of its location. First off, make sure which Indigo you have booked, There is another Indigo very close on Princess street and there seems to be confusion. More importantly, this one is located on a very busy York street with no visible signage from the street (maybe it is a building code). There is absolutely no place to unload your luggage irrespective of how you are arriving. Especially if you are driving, finding and then unloading and then parking is a nightmare. So, avoid if these things matter to you. All the taxi pickups etc and simply challenging. The staff is nice and overall helpful. However, we had asked one person evening to book 2 cabs for us the following day and while he confirmed, he actually booked only 1 cab and we were struggling to find a cab to take us to the train station. The rooms are ok and the other facilities are decent. Lot of inconveniences though.
