We stayed here for a week and we're very happy with our stay. The room was big and the bed was comfy. The bathroom had a bath which is always a plus. Staff were friendly and very helpful with allergies when asked and the breakfast was nice each morning. A big bonus was the access to the pool where the staff were very friendly and helpful. Buses run very often outside of the hotel into Edinburgh and were £2 a single and there is a train station a short walk away. We had a lovely week away and didn't have to pay the price of most hotels in Edinburgh.

Excellent, beyond my expectations. Booked fire with hotel for one night as our previous hotel had no heating in room. Had no expectations of BW but was blown away by positive attitude of reception staff, the room, the spa and pool and the flexibility of the hotel in letting us check out at 1pm instead of 11am. First class.

Was a very good hotel. The rooms were large and accommodating. The food choices were great for dietary needs especially and the service was lovely. It is a bit out of the city centre, however there is a bus stop out the front and was very easy to find our way into town. The benefit of being out of town, was the ease in parking a rented vehicle.

A nice hotel, in a nice location The room was spacious but the bed, was like sleeping on a brick and the pillows even worse. The staff were lovely. We had an evening meal, that was nice but the breakfast, which I always look forward to was very disappointing. The sausages were anaemic and everything was cold. Only went down the first morning, then never bothered after that and for the price, disgusting. Too far from the main centre for us. Wouldn't stay again.

After paying over $100 a day for the smallest one person room, I am obligated to say this hotel is a rip-off. The room itself is in need of a serious upgrade. The carpets are dingy, and the hallways could use a fresh coat of paint. The caulking in the bathroom has mold on it. The heater doesn't allow you to change the temperature any warmer showing it as locked. The highest temp, 68 during the day and a cool 62 at night. I was trying to get over a cold, and this made it horrible. The walls are so thin that I could hear drunk men yelling in the hallway at 1 am. Or my favorite, the last night I had to put a pillow over my head to quiet the sound of someone snoring in another room all night. The maid service made it seem like an inconvenience to service my room each day. By the 3rd day, they left paperwork on my bed about being "eco-friendly" and not having maid service. It was a bit too passive-aggressive.
