Visit was for dinner only. Excellent choice, quality food, well prepared & presented. Small plates weren't same as shown on website so was disappointed as has been looking forward to trying those but great main course instead.

Would definitely book this again. We were self catering but shops available within 10 minute drive. Cabin quite roomy and good hot tub.

Service and views are lovely, chest were nice , coffee howevercwas poor. Previously Bern before for coffees and they were much better , but this time all 3 coffees were very weak and lukewarm

The chalet we had looked tired and in need if a repaint or something to brighten it up. The bed in main en suite was horrendous, we didn't sleep at all well over the whole weekend. Apart from that it's a smashing place to go for a break. Food was excellent, staff were 1st class, helpful and cheery. If they did the chalets up I'd give it 10 out of 10 but frankly after a sleepless weekend I'm giving it half marks.

Paid for comedy night 13/9/24 and thought we would enjoy a meal there too. Unfortunately it took 15 minutes to receive our drinks and then one turned up wrong so they took both away. I asked them to leave the wine as it was right but I was ignored and so we had to wait even longer just for the same drink to come back. Then the member of staff cried in front of us all because I asked " why didn't you leave the wine just to bring it back " Then as we were placed by the door. The waiter left the door open and we were frozen. Enough was enough so we had wasted our money on a comedy night that we did not see. Awful service. First time in 34 years have I experienced awful service. Update. As I am always honest and believe honesty is best policy in life, I have to state that your reply is world class. That is a lovely repsponce and offer . We were really looking forward to the show and the menu looked appetising. We just probably unlucky on the night. My advice would be, if one drink is wrong. Just take that one away but at least leave the one that's right. I know your staff was preparing the room for comedy night but to leave door open while doing so was not very thoughtful when a lady was wearing a shoulder length dress and had to put coat on to keep warm , the door should have stayed closed and only open when going out or in. In saying that your offer is first class and my partner MS Clark will be in contact.
