With a choice of three function suites for your celebrations, we have the capacity for events from two to four hundred of your guests and with 138 luxury bedrooms, your guests can relax and enjoy your special day with us.
The Earls Suite is the largest event suite in the hotel seating up to 350 of your guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 400 for an evening reception. The Earls Suite can be subdivided to cater for smaller weddings and features neutral decoration, allowing you to theme the room in any way you desire.
The Caslon Suite caters for the smaller celebration and again, sub-divides into two rooms; The Hackett Suite and the Newbolt Suite, with each side seating up to 60 for your meal and with a total capacity of up to 180 for an evening event.
The Earls and Caslon Suites are both licensed to hold civil ceremonies.
Faradays Restaurant caters for the more intimate wedding, seating 40 guests for a wedding breakfast and 100 for an evening reception. The restaurant benefits from panoramic views over the picturesque waterfront marina.

November 2024I chose to stay here for business even though there are closer options to work and always receive a warm welcome. The rooms are large and comfortable with a sizeable desk. The restaurant has plenty of choices and daily specials on and the breakfast buffet is brilliant with pretty much everything you could think of. The only niggle for me is I prefer a separate shower to the fixed shower head over the bath set up but I noticed the rooms are being upgraded so maybe this will happen at some point. By far the best part of The Copthorne is the lovely staff who work tirelessly to make my stay comfortable. Too many to mention although a special thank you to Shelley and Liam who go above and beyond - it’s really appreciated when you’re away from home!

December 2024I enjoyed the warm swimming pool. Sauna was great. Friendly staffs , good breakfast. The room was nice and met our expectations. I will like to visit again !

October 2024Stayed here for one night while working in the area, my go to is a Premier inn and I’d been staying in one all week however this was cheaper than the nearest when booked through Booking.com and it didn’t disappoint. I booked a club room which was huge with a fridge and complimentary water and snacks (mars bar), also had all the usual in these type of hotels safe, iron and board, hairdryer etc. Plenty of desk space for me to work at with plenty of lights. A huge comfy bed plenty of lovely pillows, the best nights sleep all week, acoustics were fantastic couldn’t hear a thing. Donna on the desk was a little star very helpful, my room was prepared by Sam who had done an exceptional job it was immaculate and very welcoming. Breakfast (included in my room rate) was fantastic huge selection and all piping hot. Will definitely stay again.

December 2024Good location and large rooms. Staff are really nice. Place could do with a bit of TLC and updating, and you need to register your car at reception as it has the normal hotel eye thing camera. Comfortable stay apart from someone's car alarm going off constantly around 6am but that's not the hotels fault. Really close to the Merry Hill Centre and good location for where I needed to be close/short drive to Russell's Hall Hospital.

December 2024Generally all good, but there are some minor issues. Our roomheating was poor, the radiator was certainly cool. Reported this to reception, answer, nobody else has mentioned this, will check the boiler nothing else was mentioned to us during the rest of our stay. Staff had a job keeping up with the food during breakfast, most were in a small group chatting for a period of time, only one person was attending the breakfast bar. Better staff training and a firmer management style would cure this. However, the rest of the experience was OK.
