Named after Lady Edith Carkeek, owner of the Penventon during the 1920’s, a vivacious lady who entertained extensively and gave soirees in the music room. Lady Edith is situated on the lower ground floor. The versatile function suite can be split into two rooms or used as one medium size suite.

November 2024I had really relaxing time on my short escape. All staff make me feel at my home. So friendly people. Also I met local Cornish people over there they were super friendly and nice people . Their food is amazing. I will remember my time and all these people and will have good memories

December 2024Stayed at Penventon Hotel for one night! Loved our stay. So much thought put into everything especially for the dog friendly rooms. The dog had his own little bed, blanket, treats, the room had easy access to outdoor area for walks, etc. The stay was great for the humans too! Always loved this hotel, used the spa facilities and restaurant before but haven't stayed over night. Everything is well put together and staff are very friendly and attentive.

December 2024Penthouse is on the edge of Redruth with good road access and a good walk in to town. It's in a nice spot which feel secluded but isn't. The service is very good and all the staff very helpful and chatting. I was staying on business and had a single room which was quite small.

December 2024Attended a dinner and dance last night with large group of friends. As a vegan, my expectations were low - and I wasn't disappointed! The menu circulated in advance had described some kind pastry 'lattice ' as the main course. Instead they served a pastry parcel which was thick shortcrust, difficult to cut through, and containing an unexciting savoury centre. The accompanying vegetables were palatable, but served in gravy that was congealing on the plate by the second. The xmas pudding was covered in a layer of vegan custard that could have been peeled off in one piece. Come on Penventon, you can do better than this.
