Wow what an amazing hotel. Spent the weekend here for my wedding anniversary and it was amazing. The staff were friendly helpful respectful kind and caring. We stayed in a standard double room which had a massive double bed very clean and tidy and really good size for 2 people. The hotel itself was very clean comfortable and everyone was very friendly. It’s with in walking distance for all on the main shops pubs restaurants and clubs. The only downside was the price you have to pay for parking in the hotel’s carpark but it’s owned by a private company so not really anything to do with the hotel itself. We would definitely recommend this hotel for others to stay in and will definitely want to stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location, a short walk to the centre of Cardiff. The staff were friendly and helpful. The standard double room was a good size, comfortable with all the facilities, I knocked a star off because it is in need of little tlc, with an incomplete paint job and a few trimmings falling off. (room 223).

We were attending a concert at the Utilita Arena, so booked here for convenience. Our room was over the loading bay, very noisy at night with vehicles constantly reversing and beeping. The room was stifling and they haven't got air conditioning, just a tiny fan supplied. Also, the beds only had 1 pillow each. Not the best hotel, convenient yes, but not the worst either.

Car parking underneath hotel..Expensive 25.40 for overnight. Disability accessible from car park. Steps at front of hotel and ramp. Restaurant closed Sunday. Room telephone looks very dirty. Bit grubby carpet stained and bathroom needs some improvement. 2 twining t bags for everyday tea. No biscuits. T tray bit sad. However got good value in a deal twin room for £48, which considering is central Cardiff is good. You get what you pay for. No view, just the back of the cinema and other buildings.

There are a few qualities to the hotel that ruined my trip, to be frank. Firstly, I'm surprised that none of the rooms I booked came with air conditioning, I was told that air conditioning isn't installed in the rooms because "it doesn't get hot in the UK", and I was simply told to open the window if I was hot. I don't agree with their reasoning, I've seen air conditioning installed in Premier Inn hotels before. The lack of air conditioning made sleeping unbearable, had I stayed in winter I might have been okay but I stayed in June, when it was quite hot. Opening the window wasn't a valid solution, the sound from the city traffic made it near impossible to sleep and didn't do much to reduce the temperature of the room either. After complaining, they offered me a small desk fan but that wasn't adequate for the family sized room that I had booked, it also just created more noise. Secondly, the car park was very tight, big cars will have trouble parking as there really wasn't much space to be able to manoeuvre into a parking space. Lastly, I just felt that the aesthetics of the building were dated - the architecture, furniture, etc. The walls have been painted a dark grey which didn't make the room feel inviting as it didn't allow for much light. Speaking of lighting, there are no overhead lights in any of the rooms, to light the entire room we had to rely on bedside table lamps. That's a first for me, I've not seen that in a hotel before.
