September 2024The hotel was situated close to the city centre. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. After we checked out, we wanted to explore the city for a couple of hours but didn't want to carry our cases around with us. The hotel allowed us to safely store our cases in a locked cupboard until we returned, which was brilliant. We could also use the hotel facilities until we left. All in all, it was a very good experience.

August 2024Extremely pleasant, accommodating, helpful & professional staff. Helpful from first contact/booking in. We booked a mid week break (rest-bite) direct with Clayton Hotel online c/w evening meal + breakfast & later check out. Made use of bar prior to evening meal, very pleasant, extremely enjoyable meal c/w good polite, inattentive, non-intrusive service. Would recommend & stay again.

August 2024A wonderful stay at the Clayton hotel, reception staff were very cheery and helpful. Room was clean and loved the vinyl flooring felt much cleaner and hygienic than carpet. Breakfast was great a wide range of choice. The only thing I would say is that the water pressure in the shower wasn't the best. But overall a great stay and great location. Thank you.

September 2024This hotel is very well located, super close to the train station (walking distance) but you cannot hear the trains passing by which is great!! the facilities are good, super friendly staff, very caring and helpful. It was not properly cleaned, you could see bits of rubbish on the carpet which showed the room had not been properly vacuumed before we arrive which was disappointing.

September 2024my room and the building itself was lovely, no faults. Comfiest hotel bed ive slept on in a long time! Biggest issue was a lack of vegan/plant based food at breakfast. There wasn't even a dairy alternative milk for tea/coffee/cereal. Big let down really. (Otherwise would give 4 stars)
