The Tivoli, which originated as a cinema, has kept its history throughout with its décor/theming and design. Offering a unique experience across four floors, they’re the place to be in Cambridge. The Tivoli boasts two street food stalls, an array of delicious drinks across four bars, two nine-hole electric greens mini-golf courses, three shuffleboard tables and the best roof terrace in Cambridge... complete with knockout views across River Cam and Jesus Green.
The Banyard is the top floor exclusive room at The Tivoli! It boasts views onto the Rooftop Terrace, with its own private bar and private access. Offering a capacity of 60 seated & 90 standing, its perfect for any occasion whether you're celebrating a birthday, anniversary, baby shower or need a space for your workplace meeting or the annual Summer/Christmas party!
We offer set packages including activities or can build you a bespoke package with food & drinks to ensure it meets your requirements. We can also bolt on additional activities with the space such as cocktail masterclasses, photo-booths, DJ's or even quiz's!

ARE KIDS ALLOWED? Yes, children are welcome! Under 18's are allowed in the venue till 7pm without a parent/guardian and till 9pm with a parent/guardian. As the Tivoli is a busy, wet-led venue we reserve the right to refuse entry or ask guests to leave should it be in the best interest of the group and other customers. CAN WE STAY OVER? Sadly no, but we have a sister pub, The Waterman, a two-minute walk awaythat has eight lovely rooms that we can happily get you booked in to if you are planning a Cambridge visit! If you are planning a large event and would like to book rooms alongside your Tivoli reservation just let us know and we will organise for you, subject to availability. IS THE VENUE ACCESSIBLE? All floor levels of the Tivoli are fully accessible using our available lifts, with the exception of ‘The Lookout’, which can only be reached via a short flight of stairs. All staircases have handrails and there is an accessible toilet on the lower ground floor in our Assembly Hall. Whilst all floors are accessible, the mini golf courses are not suitable for wheelchair users, prams or mobility frames. We do however have seating on this floor for guests to enjoy food & drinks next to the golf course. For specific accessibility queries please contact us for more details.

March 2025If you want to spend some time doing something a little different in Cambridge, booking at the Tivoli should be your first port of call! I took my Dad there for his birthday, so while he may not be the target demographic, he still had a great time playing mini golf, eating burgers with curly fries, and sliding pucks along the shuffleboard on the roof terrace. The only thing missing from our day was the sun, but never mind; the food and drinks made up for it. Also, it is worth saying that I think the Tivoli is now dishing up the best burger in Cambridge. Fighting talk, I know, but seriously, it was so good! Thanks to Gasper and Thea for looking after us during our visit today. Attentive and genuine service with a smile always makes you feel that extra bit more welcome. A great palce for a birthdayay treat!

March 2025We went as a group of friends for a meal from 5pm last Saturday. Hannah, Blake and the whole team were friendly and efficient despite it being busy. They catered for dietary needs and helped us with any questions. The food was delicious 😋 and cooked just right. Portion size of pizza means unless you’re very hungry, you can share😁 I had one issue using the QR code as although my food came, drinks didn’t but I spoke with the team at the bar and the drinks quickly came to the table. Food and drink prices were fair. It was our first visit so we weren’t sure what to expect. I would recommend!
