Opened in March 2018, Ivy Cambridge Brasserie sits plumb in the city’s university heartland. The kitchen serves the chain’s signature British classics and, as at the Covent Garden original, Martin Brudnizki has been a guiding hand on design. His art-deco theatrics extend to the Boat Room, which accommodates groups at a single long table (removable for drinks receptions). On a polished, oak-tiled floor, it is surrounded by colourful vintage prints and artwork that reference local academic and riverine traditions.

Stunning interior, great service, and delicious food. This was my first time at The Ivy and I would definitely visit again. Ordered a variety of appetisers, mains, and desserts to share. A stand out for me was the shepherd’s pie. It was soft, tasty, and straightforward. Such a charming place in Cambridge. Also, the bathrooms are gorgeous! 🤣

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Ivy Brasserie in Cambridge, and my experience was made truly exceptional by our waiter, Marvin. From the moment we were seated, Marvin's warm welcome and genuine enthusiasm set the tone for a wonderful evening. Marvin's knowledge of the menu was impressive; he effortlessly guided us through the various dishes, offering insightful recommendations and catering to our dietary needs. He was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were always full and anticipating our every need. Marvin is passionate for his work and to providing exceptional service were evident throughout our meal. He is a true asset to The Ivy Brasserie, and I wholeheartedly recommend it here.

This restaurant truly merits a five-star rating. Our server provided exceptional service and demonstrated a high level of professionalism. I believe that staff members from other Ivy branches, particularly those in London, could benefit from emulating his exemplary conduct. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will undoubtedly return. We express our gratitude for making our day enjoyable. The quality of the food and beverages was also commendable.

I’ve only visited once and that was for an Alice & Wonderland themed Afternoon Tea on a Saturday afternoon in November. It was brilliant! I loved that our coats were taken on arrival. I was shocked at how noisy the restaurant was! Tables are fairly close together. Our afternoon tea was absolutely lovely, although I’d have liked additional savoury options, it was mainly sweets. A really beautiful venue, I’ve included photos. The service wasn’t the best, the waiter kept trying to take our afternoon tea stand away, when we were still eating. He moved our cupcakes, without asking! Great price, £30ish each. I couldn’t finish mine, so was given a box to take the remainder home. Which stayed fresh for the following day. All in all, a beautiful but busy restaurant. I’ll be returning at some point.
