February 2025Super friendly staff, clean rooms, perfect location. Asked if I could keep my takeaway in a fridge somewhere, so they brought a whole fridge to my room no questions asked! Great simple gym, nice piano bar with live music 4 nights a week.

February 2025My husband and I stayed at the Hilton, Cambridge for Valentine's Weekend. We had a lovely time. We were greeted with prosecco on arrival which was a nice touch. The room was a great size with a lovely shower and bath. Very clean. The lobby smells amazing!! The room was a little corporate and typical of a chain however, there were some touches that tied it in to Cambridge. There were other features around the hotel that had a strong Cambridge connection. The room has a hair dryer, ironing board and even a fridge. There were even robes and slippers! Only draw-back is the wardrobe was tiny! TV had a decent selection of channels compared with lots of other hotel TVs. Very good location - right next to the Grand Arcade shopping centre. The hop-on-hop off bus has a stop right outside. It's a very short walk from some good restaurants, cafes and museums. The breakfast was amazing! Really good quality food and a fantastic choice. Very friendly service. The breakfast is available for quite a decent window of time which is nice. We also went to the Piano Bar both evenings we stayed. It was so lovely to have a pianist playing live- she was excellent. Decent cocktails. We went to the Executive Lounge. The "happy hour" is 6pm-8pm (wish we were told this in advance!) where there is wine, some spirits, beer and some nice food available during this period. At other times, there is a good selection of hot drinks and soft drinks. There are board games and it is a very relaxed atmosphere. We didn't use the gym on this occasion but it's always nice to have one - it looked like it is well equipped. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was good to be able to drop our bags before check-in and afterwards. Parking is very expensive. We used Park and Ride and would definitely recommend doing this. We would definitely stay again.

March 2025AVOID! Misleading photos of room , inappropriate charge and no reply to recurrent emails for complaint. I had made a reservation at Hilton Cambridge for 4 nights and I was allocated the room 222.The intention for the booking was to sit a professional exam for my medical career .Soon after my arrival I was charged 50£ security and was then escorted to my room to come to realise that the desk was too narrow and importantly there was NO WINDOW to open apart from just a glass screen embedded on the wall . Hence if you wanted to breathe fresh air or suffer from claustrophobia you should only step outside of your room to breathe. For this reason, I decided to not use the room handed over the key immediately and asked the receptionist Mona to cancel the reservation and requested for a refund which was refused. Instead I was charged for a room for 4 days which I never end up using. She diverted me to a property manager Janelle Watts who I have sent emails explaining the above and had never had a reply from her either ever since. Honestly I have been using Hilton hotels all over in the country for years but the Cambridge experience was enough to never consider it as an option again. I have also disseminated my experience to my medical colleagues in the hospital who were using the hotels for similar purposes. Be mindful with what you book if you commit in this place
