Located in a spectacular Grade II* listed building in the heart of the city, the RWA is Bristol’s oldest art gallery bringing world-class visual art from around the world since 1844.

With beautifully constructed interiors filled with natural light, these 19th century galleries have housed works from the big names in British Art including Turner, Constable, Nash, and Grayson Perry. The building has recently completed a £4.5m transformation - opening up access for all and providing opportunities for everybody to get creative and feel inspired.

We visited today to see the John Hoyland exhibition, which we've been really excited about for months. We were not disappointed! Seeing these playful ceramics of his and the work of the other sculptors was brilliant. Even more so, for us, was being able to stand in front of some of his wonderful paintings and just drink them in. It was an excellent experience. Also, as usual, the cafe was great 😂
