One of Bristol’s most exceptional meeting and event venues, this boutique hotel and luxury spa is set in an architecturally stunning, Grade-II listed building, right in the heart of the city. The hotel features three impressive, flexible rooms for any meeting, conference or event up to 400 attendees.
This impressive room has formed within the original banking vaults of the hotel and can provide a unique back drop for smaller events. From conferences and private dining to wedding ceremonies and drink receptions, we’ll work with you to create a package that works perfectly for the size and style of your event.
Walk down a candle lit staircase into the former vaults of Lloyds bank and enter into a bright event space with lights on independent dimmers, which can also create an atmospheric room for intimate or evening events. The room features a beautiful marble and iridescent wallpaper and includes the use of our built in Sonos sound system, should background music be required. We also have the option of dividing the far section, to create an independent boardroom or catering area.

March 2025Our room had the cleanest nicest bathroom I have ever had in a hotel. The bed was just marvellous and there were many very thoughtful touches in the room. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional. Breakfast was huge and delicious. The vegetarian sausage was actually veg and really tasty, not a meat substitute. Parking was in an NCP round the corner which was very convenient and with a discount. Atmospheric below-ground spa. I thought it was great. Thank you everyone.

January 2025Highly recommend. Stayed here start of 2025 and we were looked after incredibly well. When we arrived we got a free upgrade to the best room in the hotel. We left a jumper upon leaving and they contacted me right away to organise collection / postage. Fantastic team, fantastic food. Spa is really nice and we had it to ourselves in the morning. Great team well done! 👏 also big thanks to Jean she was very helpful!

March 2025Only went for a conference, but was told we had to pay for hot water, so down a star on service. Location good, and easy access from train station, either 10 mins walk or about £6 taxi. Old building, toilets not easy if your physically impaired due to many steps and stairs. Food was ok as was only snacks.

January 2025Hotel gave us a free upgrade which was lovely. Staff very friendly. Bed was very comfy in the deluxe double room. Spa facilities were good, hot tub a little colder than expected but still good. Would stay here again.

March 2025The staff were helpful and friendly BUT.. the pool and spa area are located in the old vaults of the bank and are small and very claustrophobic! There’s only room for one person to swim in the pool.. we had to pay £10 extra each on top of the room for this. Definitely not worth it.. The breakfast was very average and the cheese and ham weren’t covered so they went dry.. The location is great but it’s a 10 min walk from the nearest carpark so pack light. I wouldn’t come back to this place as it’s too expensive for what it boasts and I really like a swim so it’s not for me.
