March 2025Our room had the cleanest nicest bathroom I have ever had in a hotel. The bed was just marvellous and there were many very thoughtful touches in the room. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional. Breakfast was huge and delicious. The vegetarian sausage was actually veg and really tasty, not a meat substitute. Parking was in an NCP round the corner which was very convenient and with a discount. Atmospheric below-ground spa. I thought it was great. Thank you everyone.

January 2025Highly recommend. Stayed here start of 2025 and we were looked after incredibly well. When we arrived we got a free upgrade to the best room in the hotel. We left a jumper upon leaving and they contacted me right away to organise collection / postage. Fantastic team, fantastic food. Spa is really nice and we had it to ourselves in the morning. Great team well done! đź‘Ź also big thanks to Jean she was very helpful!

March 2025Only went for a conference, but was told we had to pay for hot water, so down a star on service. Location good, and easy access from train station, either 10 mins walk or about ÂŁ6 taxi. Old building, toilets not easy if your physically impaired due to many steps and stairs. Food was ok as was only snacks.

January 2025Hotel gave us a free upgrade which was lovely. Staff very friendly. Bed was very comfy in the deluxe double room. Spa facilities were good, hot tub a little colder than expected but still good. Would stay here again.

March 2025The staff were helpful and friendly BUT.. the pool and spa area are located in the old vaults of the bank and are small and very claustrophobic! There’s only room for one person to swim in the pool.. we had to pay £10 extra each on top of the room for this. Definitely not worth it.. The breakfast was very average and the cheese and ham weren’t covered so they went dry.. The location is great but it’s a 10 min walk from the nearest carpark so pack light. I wouldn’t come back to this place as it’s too expensive for what it boasts and I really like a swim so it’s not for me.
